Our room was ready which was great. However security left a little to be desired- you had to leave you key when you left. And the keys just sat on top of the reception desk really for anyone to grab. When we were paying our bill they wanted to charge the full amount and took some explaining that we already paid our deposit with hostelworld and with us speaking no Spanish and staff no English it took some persistence. Overall cheap and you get what you pay for- location is great.

Great place to stay in Arequipa. The location is perfect, just blocks away from pretty much everything including the plaza de armas and santa catalina monastery. The rooms are nice and clean, and most importantly the owner, Jose, is extremely helpful in every way imaginable- booking tours, recommending restaurants, anything you need. He is one of the friendliest people you will ever meet and will make sure you get the most out of your stay in Arequipa.

Jose was a nice guy and speak english. he emailed us before we even get there. He helpepd us planning/booking tours. We had a very nice room and warm/hot shower! No breakfast but at the street there are plenty places to buy bread or take a bf. We can really recommend this place for good price and good location just a view blocks away from the disco's and bars.

This is a really nice place to stay, close to the Monasterio, and just a few blocks from Plaza de Armas. Owner Jose is very friendly and accomodating. Rooms are ok, the floors are a bit dusty though. But for this price I think you could hardly find a better place...
