You are welcomed by a young couple to this charming little hostel near the city center! Located in one of the most authentic neighborhoods of Belo Horizonte, Santa Tereza in BH, as Santa Tereza in Rio, is a place of great 'botecos' (traditional bars, most informal and low-budget) and bohemian atmosphere.
We have only 5-bed dorms, a nice backyard with hammocks and a mango tree and our reception is quadrilingual English/ Spanish/ French/ Portuguese. The house is only 3-5 minutes walk from all kind of traditional commerce and there're direct buses to Savassi and Mercado Central, also a subway station near.

La Em Casa is wonderful! It's in a bohemian neighborhood and the staff go out of their way to make your stay perfect. The breakfast is AMAZING - homemade cake, fruit, buns, freshly squeezed fruit juices. The place is impeccably clean, lockers under bed for storage and hot water in the bathroom. About a 25 minute walk to city center or 40 minutes to Praca Liberdade. Would definitely stay again!
