I really enjoyed the hostel atmosphere. It was a large building, with plenty of rooms. The internet-access computers were helpful especially since the wifi for wireless devices only worked in one corner of the house. When I first arrived, I did not like my welcome greeting. The woman was slightly rude and didn't elaborate or explain hostel information/rules very well to me. I was placed in a bunk that has 13 people sleeping in it (when I requested 9). The cleaning/cooking employee was great!

The hostel is great. Very clean, staff is very very friendly, relaxing atmosphere, good breakfast. From my experience it is not a party hostel, even though staff usually invites you to parties outside of the hostel. The only point is that it is a little bit far from some things, but there is a train nearby that you can get to save some money. Completely worth the price.

I stayed there very shortly, but this hostel is so warmhearted and it feels like mi casa su casa. Thanks for bringing me in the middle of the night to the airport.

The staff must be the most most friendly I have encountered in the service industry. And it is not false - there are really genuine people working here. And it seems that generousity of spirit permeates through the hostel and everyone who was staying because I found other guests relaxed, friendly and open. Staff very relaxed at breakfast about the time and not pushing you out. This is the way a hostel should be!

Great hostel, staff are very friendly, helpful and accomodating. Location was good, fairly close to a metro and bus stop so it is fairly easy to find. Breakfast was quite good, beds were comfortable, wifi and internet worked well, definatly worth a visit if you are staying in Belo Horizonte or planning to see Ouro Preto

Staying in Lá em Casa really contributed to the great experiente I had in Belo Horizonte. The hostel is in a confortable big house, with a helpfull and adorable staff. The street is calm and situated in a good neighborhood. It's possible to get downtown or to the subway station after 10 or 15 minutes walking. The place is quite safe and there are some small bars and restaurants with good price around. My only objection is about the nine-beds-room. I think it's hotter than the other ones.

This was a fantastic hostel! The staff could not have done more to make our stay in Belo more enjoyable. They made sure we knew all about what was going on in the city and what to see. The breakfast is one of the best we've had and the rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Helpful staff, good kitchen. Location is OK, near a bus stop which will take you in to centro in about 15 minutes. Computer avaliable to use was good and Skype worked well. Unfortunately the first night we were there we were kept awake all night by a very noisy group of boys who were staying in the room next to us - staff did not stop this dispite the "quiet after 10pm" signs which were displayed around the hostel.Top bunks too close to roof and in one case roof gets dirt all over bed.
