This is an excellent hostel, everything you need is close (supermarket, pharmacy, bus lines), the owner Sebastian is a very nice guy. The bathrooms are clean, my bed was comfortable and the breakfast is complete. Nothing to complain about, highly recommended!

Very, very cool hostel. I really enjoyed my stay at Laranja Mecánica. The dorm, in Hostel 2, was large and clean, and everything is new. I met people from many parts of Brazil and South America, who were there for McCartney's show! The idea of having two hostels facing each other is a plus, 'cause you can use services in both of the houses and meet more people.

Laranja mecânica is a very nice hostel! :) I think there are not a lot of Hostels in BH and if there were more, this one is surely the best one!Very original idea with the clockwork orange thing. Stuff very helpful, and there is good information about stuff to do, maps etc. Center and Party regions can be reached by foot in 20-30 Minutes. Super-breakfast. Que mais posso dizer? O hostal é ótimo e recomendável ! :)

Laranja mecanica is the best hostel I ever stayed. good living condition and nice guys around and here i want to express my special thanks to laranja mecanica, caus I left my camera and wallet in hostel, the secretary found it and kept it for me. When I called them, they had already planned to send me and I receive it so quickly. Thanks laranja mecanica and Sebastian. If I go to Belo Horizonte again, Laranja Mecanica will always be my first choice!

The owner of the place is very friendly, but the rest of the staff isn't very welcoming. Apart from that, the bedrooms/pillows etc are very confortable, and there is one big and nice bathroom upstairs, apart from 2 smaller ones. The location is amazing: there are restaurants nearby, a grocery store a couple of minutes away (walking distance) and you won't pay more than 10 bucks in a cab to downtown BH (although you can also walk, which takes about half an hour).

Loved the clockwork orange theme running throughout the hostel! Breakfast was good. Bedrooms were ok, bit cramped. Staff were great, really helpful. Overall really liked this hostel.

Nice location and welcoming staff- abundant breakfast which includes sweet bakery + ham and cheese options. The female dormitory inlcudes just what´s needed: space between the 4 bunk beds (reasonably comfortable) and lockers to set your own lock. There is a female and a mixed shower: clean and including warm water. Good choice where to stay in Belo Horizonte.
