This was really quite a nice place! There is a kitchen, and breakfast included in your stay (pretty reasonable price). It was a great environment, pretty convenient location, and great folks. The staff was friendly and everything was very clean. it was a bit hot, but I visited in the middle of a heat wave, so I can't complain too much about that.

the bathroom and restroom are too small and dirty and worst of all, room i splept was really hot with only two windows in this hot summer it was really painful of me to stay i will not go there again

Great hostel with a cosy Lobby and spectacular roof Terrasse. Location is in short distance to downtown and to dining areas. Pancakes at breakfast are homemade with cook's all love inside.

Why on Earth do you not have air condition=

Maybe this hostel is good in winter but the rooms are extremely stuffy and hot in the summer. Other than this rest is okay.

Staff are excellent, very helpful, friendly and encourage ineraction between guests

One of the best hostels I've ever been. The breakfast is better than a lot of fancy hotels, and the staff makes you feel comfortable at any time. I would come back every time I go to Montreal. Maybe the only thing to improve is the lack of a AC in the hot months. It gets really hot and humid inside the building, especially the 3rd floor. But if you're planning to go outside most of the time, this shouldn't be a problem at all.

Best hostel ever! Thank you so much to Ellie, Jonathan and the rest of staff for being completely awesome! Merci mille fois!

I really enjoyed staying at this hostel. The staff is super and the atmosphere is great. I was a bit disapppointed with my private room, though. I found it a little old and wasted, and the lack of ventilation made me and friend feel a little uncomfortable, but I would stay there again if I had the chance.

A poorly lighted room with a small window (not sufficient light) without any grid to stop mosquitoes and a broken fan made are accommodation awkward especially when it became completed with poor breakfast and the dishes washed by gusts

Everything was excellent, except wifi did not work on my iphone and it was quite a bummer

It was very nice friendly Hostel. The only thing is that wifi didn't work for some cell phone. Close to everything and breakfast is included all fine.

Good hostel, great value. It seems like they work hard to have a comfortable environment with lots of activities and the staff is friendly and helpful. It's not a luxury hostel (the comforters are worn, bathrooms are small, breakfast space is small) but you find yourself not caring, because it's in a good location and everyone is so cheerful. It was a very social hostel, but easy to sleep at night. WIN, WIN! :) Would be great for single travelers but, as a couple, it was fine for us too!

Went to Montreal for a long weekend with a couple friends and had an overall great experience at Le Gite. Stayed in a 3 bed private room which was very spacious (and included our own private bathroom). Mattresses were not the most comfortable but that's to be expected at any hostel. Breakfast was good and the staff were very helpful/friendly. The only thing we wanted to draw attention to was that parking was NOT free or available directly from the hotel (as is advertised) which was disappointing

Amazing atmosphere, super helpful staff, cool older building (but very clean!), location is basically in the centre of Montreal. Don't look further, this is the hostel you want!

It's located pretty close to the "quartier d'espectacles" so it's almost a walk distance from every nice spot in downtown (20-30 minutes) and it also has two metro stations nearby so that's great! Also the staff is pretty nice and the room is big enough for two (private room).

A nice place to stay in Montreal. The hostel is located a short walk from the bus station and is also close to lots of shops and restaurants and bars. Very nice breakfast.

Great helpful staff, located about a 15 minute walk from tourist area. Great value!!

loved the amazing rooftop terrace, and the pancakes at breakfast with Canadian maple syrup were AMAZING. the front desk was super friendly, and the location near to an airport bus stop was key. the only downside was the mattress, not comfy and made for a poor nights sleep.

Great place. Would probably return to the same place again. The roof-top is a cool feature!
