Staff members were welcoming. The living room and kitchen are a good place to hang out. But kitchen need to be update. Rooms are ok.

Location and staff were great. Linens had seen better days, pillows were lousy. Breakfast was only toast and coffee or tea and a few orange slices. Lockers were tiny, be sure to bring your own lock. Decent overall.

We lucked out with parking, arriving thursday at noon we found one of the few free parking spaces available down the street from the hostel. Though the pillows were the flattest I have ever slept on, the sleeping situation was decent. I went to Montreal to explore and have fun, not to sleep. Breakfasts were just toast and coffee/tea but the seating was nice and communal and they played relaxing music. The hostel also offered lots of free guides and maps to the city.

First time I'd stayed in a private room in a hostel, so it was nice to have the bed premade and towels included. However, the room was so cold! My boyfriend and I would have appreciated the heat turned on at night, it was so cold that we had to use the extra blanket and get dressed to sweaters and coats as soon we got out of bed. There was a fan in the room for hot summer nights, but it isn't summer anymore! Average hostel quality otherwise.

Was very close to bars, restaurants and station. The hostel was clean and good overall, I loved the rooftop. Was a bit far to walk to old montreal but ok on a nice day, maybe 25min. Taxi was only $8 though and 5 min on the train/sub. Would go there again!
