I had to request room change when I discovered that no clean bed was available in the 9 sq. m. four person room I was assigned to; the reason was that the other occupants appeared to be 'living' there . However, when I complained I was allowed to change right away to a more suitable room. Complain if you don't like what you see.!

The rooms are fine but the bathrooms are not very clean and it's rather far from the city centre, so you should be prepared for a twenty minutes walk.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The noise from outside is a bit disturbing, but cannot be helped; what might be improved is the drinks for breakfast: the orange juice is far too sweet for my taste, and the coffee I did't like either. Apart from that, I think the hostel is simply excellent, and I will recommend it to everybody!! Thanks especially to the very friendly and competent staff!!

It was alright overall, clean and acceptable facilities. But the atmosphere was like in a hotel. I've been travelling in youth hostels for the last 10 years and this was one of the less 'youth hostel spirit'. The staff is OK, they help you if you ask, but they were never friendly or had a smile or ask you if they could help. It is located close to downtown in metro, but in a business area with nothing to do around. Nothng to complain, nothing great. The breakfast is really good, though!

I had booked for a private ensuite room and when I got to the hostel I found out that the check-in time was 4pm. That was not nice since I had a long 10h flight from Sao Paulo to Lisbon.

Average in every sense. Easy to find but very little personal space.

I didn't like the card to be kept in the slot if I needed light or plugs. Plus the space in my room was too little for three people. Another thing to complain about is they didn't have a kitchen for the guests, nor a small fridge if you have to keep something for the day.

Much like a hotel with a big breakfast and room cleaned daily but there was no real character for the same reason.
