Owner and his people truly take care of people and def know how to have some fun such as free drinks & foods! We highly recommend this hostel, even it's about 5-10 min walk to Old Quarter area because you would appreciate this quiet location after days around Hanoi!

The staff is great. I was sick when I arrived and they gave me advice and medicine. They also give you free tips on the city and a map. They can book you any tours or transportation around the country (with a small fee, but that's standard anywhere). Also a great location, walkable to most Hanoi sites. A great place to stay!

Fantastic hostel! The staff were all very friendly and helped out with any inquiries. The tour we booked for Halong Bay was reasonably priced and fantastic!

I had some trouble locating the hostel before my trip. I used google maps and it kept pointing me to another Little Hanoi location which was frustrating. It did seem like everyone I showed the address to knew it was by the lake; so it ended up working out. Besides that, The staff at Little Hanoi took care of everything for me! Above and beyond anything I asked for. I was extremely pleased. I had nothing to worry about which gave me more time to enjoy this beautiful city. I will be back!

Great hostel! Amazing location and staff! The building is cute and cozy and is located right by the lake! My friend lost her wallet and the staff were so helpful in bringing us through the police station and getting it returned! They'll help you book anything with any budget and are extremely friendly! You won't regret it!

Very friendly and helpful staff and ideal location, no need to worry about excursions and transport, they organise everything for you. We went on one of the coldest days in Hanoi and we couldn't warm up the rooms, the hot air-con didn't help much so we couldn't sleep well besides the fact the sheets are very narrow so we couldn't cover properly, I wouldn't go again in winter.

A really great starting point for exploring Hanoi. Right next to Hoan Kiem Lake and within walking distance (30 minutes) of the Temple of Literature, train station, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. The staff were the friendliest out of the 5 hostels we stayed in in Vietnam. We returned from Sapa at 5 am and they gave us a place to crash, eat breakfast, and shower before our train south that night, just because we stayed there two nights earlier in the week. Most definitely recommended.

Nice little guesthouse in a beautiful location - on the lake in the Old Quarter, but close to the French Quarter too. Staff are friendly though very keen to help you with tours. The rooms were big and comfortable with a heater and duvet for the winter months which was a lifesaver. We were on the first floor so in the mornings it got pretty noisy with breakfast and check outs going on. The free breakfast was decent, and they had free fruit, tea and coffee all the time too (not water though!).

I loved staying here! I felt like I was home away from home. The staff, I must say, made the experience. They were so helpful and they were a great fun to be around.

Great hostel with great staff! Good breakfast and free coffee, tea and fresh fruit all day. It's not one of these backpacker party places, but they organised a "goodbye 2012 party " with free beer and a nice little buffet which was really good and great fun! Thanks for that!

Nice Hostel just at the Hoan Kiem Lake and in walking distance to the Old Quarter. Staff was always happy and friendly and the free breakfast and fruit (all day) was a bummer! We had a great time and can recomend it!

Cannot say more excellent things about this Hostel. We were welcomed with breakfast after an early morning flight by the wonderful staff who is very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. And the ensuite was great. Free tea or coffee every morning with your free breakfast. All information given was fantastic. We even booked a 1 day trip through them to Halong Bay which was excellent value (and included a great lunch). Would certainly stay again no doubt!
