In January we spent severall days @Lub'd Siam Square. A good place to stay. We liked it a lot. So much that we stayed there twice when we visited Bangkok for the second time.

Good location if you are planning to shop. The internet is terrible and I think the hostel is expensive for what they offer.

Everything is great. However, the stuff isn't that friendly when dealing with the Asian costumer. Especially those who is not a native English speaker.

If you go to Bangkok, stay at Lub D siam square or Silom. Both hostels are worldclass and you would be a fool not to stay at one of these hostels! :D

Great hostel with friendly staff and a good location right near the national stadium sky train station. I struggled with jet lag after landing and the fact that there is always someone on the desk 24hrs a day really helped. Also good if you're plane lands in the middle of the night. Great showers too. Best I've had so far.

Well designed Hostel right at the end of the sky train - more a shoping area (MBK shopping, Siam Square shopping, Art museum, national stadium).

Beer garden/ deck out the front great for socializing. The dorm rooms are really small (not so good), lockers are huge (great), bathroom nice, air conditioning not super effective, staff are nice, location good for sky train, great for shopping and if you want to get away from the hype a bit, but not so good if you want to be close to markets, restaurants and bars etc. a nice new place.

I found Lub D to be everything i'd expected from all the recommendations id got! The hostel is great, Brilliant breakfast, Free Guitar/ Movie room/Popcorn, Travel Agents +The most helpful staff The Hostel itself is situated perfectly for arriving and departing by plane or train outside the front is an ATM, 7/11(supermarket)which is genius! Its a good distance to be away from the main centre - only 40baht/£1/$1.50 away so you can easily get home from a night out :) Brilliant atmosphere!

This place is really stylish and spotlessly clean. The rooms were very comfortable and everything here was very modern. The staff were helpful. The place lacks a bit in atmosphere but all mod cons are available so you're guaranteed a comfortable stay. MBK mall is within walking distance and is great for shopping. The train outside is also very useful. Other than that the area itself is a bit dull and corporate.

My boyfriend and I stayed in the economy double on the 4th floor with a shared bathroom. We were a little nervous about the shared bathroom situation because of previous hostel experiences but these bathrooms was seriously AWESOME! Really clean, excellent shower pressure, no lines for showers/toilets, hairdryers in the women's bathroom. The room itself was small and basic but also very clean with lots of hooks to hang your stuff on and a safe and ipod player. Very convenient location!

Top location, room has great wifi and air conditioning with remote control. Location within five mins walk of about 3 or 4 shopping centres, and only 60 baht taxi ride to Khao San Road. I did not find the staff to be very engaging with the guests. All in all, would gladly book here again.

A bit overpriced, but this hostel has everything that you could want or need in Bangkok. It was very clean and the location was great....easy to get to and around with public transportation. The room had security lockers big enough to fit your entire suitcase/backpack, air conditioning, computers w/ internet access etc. I'd stay here again...but a bit pricy for a hostel in Bangkok.
