My second time in Lub D, and it's still the best! Maybe a little bit expensive, but I would go back! Excellent location, skytrain just in front of the door!

Book this place and book it quickly before someone else beats you to it. You will not find a better location. It's impossible. Lub D is 30 *seconds* from the SkyTrain so getting to/from the airport is a breeze. No taxi necessary. This hostel is the first thing you see before you even exit the station. I stayed in two different highly-recommended hostels while in Bangkok -- and I liked Lub D better. Staff is great, the water pressure is divine, it's a fun place. What more do I need to say?

The staff was amazing and the facilites were very nice! hands down the nicest hostel i've ever stayed in! The location was also super convenient to the skytrain and malls. If you are visiting Bangkok don't hesitate to stay at LUB D!

Superb hospitality with even cooler rooms and facilities! I especially like the added security of using tap cards timo enter the hostel area which separates the cafe and the residents. Cool concept and friendly staff too!

Well first the pro's. The hostel is located right in the middle of Lub D Bangkok Siam Square. It is a great location and the BTS stop is just outside the hostel. The hostel is generally clean and has access cards so in general pretty safe. For the price, a very decent place to stay. Not so good: Well, the hostel is more like a hotel. There is no character. I have been to many hostels which would organize events, like roaming the city, pub crawls etc. Very few in here.

The staff is most helpful and apologetic when the air-con in my room leaked. They attended to the problem immediately , with all smiles and apologies. They even gave us complimentary breakfast as a gesture for the inconveniences of the leaking aircon! On the day that we checked out (25/12/2012), chocolates wrapped in Christmas-styled were attached to our door. It's all the little touches that impressed me most and made my stay at Lub d Bangkok a memorable one!

Fantastic hostel, can't recommend it enough. Staff were excellent, as were facilities and location. Make this your first stop in BKK.

A high quality hostel in a reasonably good location (near department stores but not Khaosan Rd). Extremely clean, good air conditioning. Easily the best of the three hostels in BKK I've stayed in. The common room / eating area was great but the space was restricted by communal computers. If these were moved somewhere else (they had space) the hostel could've had an awesome bar there in the evenings.

We booked a double room ensuite. We stayed one of three nights. We rebooked another hotel a block away at Siam@Siam. For 40 dollars (USD) more a night we got a 4 star hotel with a rooftop restaurant, pool, fitness center, huge room with all the amenities.

everything was perfect and highly recommended, the only reason i gave a 'poor' rating for the cleaniness section was that i was bitten by spiders/ticks 2 nights in a role, but this is probably an isolated incident, other than this, highly recommended.
