One of THE best!! THE best staff! Highly recommended!

Excellent time! Good atmosphere, good people, it was actually the highlight of Panama City for me!

Hostel was brilliant but staff should let clients know that there is serious road works going on right outside the hostel so the noise is really bad. Starts so early in the morning and goes on till really late at night.

Best part of Luna's Castle is the great location, and the low price. Worst is the fact that I found a bedbug in my clothes. The staff was very apologetic and helpful- they moved me to a new bed and did my laundry for free. But the bugs won't go away until the bedframes and mattresses are ALL chemically treated and I doubt that's about to happen. So, all guests should be sure to wash your stuff carefully before you get home or you could bring the bugs back with you.

I am a repeat customer (1.5 years ago) and was remembered by one of the staff (nice). Luna provides a very convivial atmosphere with a large common area/eating room. Free pancakes and coffee, good kitchen, and a bar downstairs. I put the location as excellent b/c I really like Casco Viejo, but the neighborhood is old and a little dirty; markets etc. are nearby. Best large hostel I have stayed in. Does everything extremly well. Always something going on and is busy at night, but was easy to have an early night. The staff were the best I have encountered in a large hostel (probably any hostel), they were helpful, friendly and really seemed to care. Great location and views as well.

You guys rocked, had a great time and very thankful for all of the help from the front desk. Kevin is wonderful as well as the colorful ladies always willing to help or just make sure you are O.K.. Great place, location and attitude. See you again!

if you are interested into a party hostel you should go there definitely. but in case you want to sleep go somewhere else. the staff try to help where its possible but the girl from the travel agency is not really informative.

The people at the front desk were extremely nice, helpful and seeking to serve you. The atmosphere is a little freaky but what do expect from a hostel. It has an excellent location in the Casco Viejo, perfect for tourists. They also have computers with internet, wi-fi, bikes to cruise around town, and lots of couches to lounge around in. It was much better than other hostels I've stayed in.

Lack of clean towels sometimes no big deal bed bugs but they are also reported in many 5 star hotels in U.S. and Canada excetional staff in their efforts to make one welcome and content tried to accommodate everyones needs and wants. Felt very safe and secure , so much so thaat I extended my stay by two days. I never give an excellent in any servey.

visitors should know what this hostel is like before they go. it is very busy and a huge party bar downstairs that is crowded with locals until 4 am. if that is what you are looking for, the place is awesome.

if you like hundreds of people around you, this is the place to be. unfortunatly i prefer hostels, where you feel like home, means when staff know your name and you feel save. thats not the case in lunas... there were so many people, one of my roommate robbed me, as i just had to go to the toilette. even there are some rooms without window..

While this is the biggest hostel I've been to, and ther are certainly many people coming and going through the common area (the second floor), the dorms are surprisingly quite. The second floor basically shields the dorms on the third from the noise of the bar on the first. Everyone is extremely helpful. This hostel is perfect if you want to relax and have a quite time in a common room, or if you want to meet lots of fellow travelers and have a wild time. Definitely recommend it.

When asking with help to book a cab to the airport, which there are multiple signs for around the front desk, the front desk girl just brushed me off and said that it "takes too long." I also upgraded to an air conditioned room and even though I don't have a point of comparison with a regular room, this one was incredibly hot and only a few degrees cooler than the rest of the facilities which were even hotter.
