Hostel was very clean and well laid out. Location was great, just outside the city centre and a quick walk to it. Staff were very friendly and were very knowledgeable of the city.

I was very close to changing hostels my first night because of how bad the surrounding area is. Room mates got robbed the first night. Search up molenbeek before confirming. Other than that this place was nicer than most hotels i've stayed in! Top class

10 minute walk to the edge of the city center. Seemed to be popular among school groups. Overall not a bad deal for the price just wish there had been food and other things closer.

Close to the city center, great amenities, very clean, and a good atmosphere for young people -- definitely where to stay if headed to Brussels

Meininger was everything a university student could have hoped for. This must be one of the top places to stay in the beautiful city of brussels.

I was nervous walking alone around the hostel. Other than that, it was great! The rooms were extremely clean and the staff was friendly and helpful.

The hostel was clean, bunks are comfortable and have a light and outlet at each bed. The ensuite bathroom is a plus, but our shower was broken and you had to hold the showerhead to wash. The layout of the room was a little crowded, and lockers are large but probably wouldn't hold a big backpack. Staff is very helpful and friendly, but the hostel is a minimum 15 minute walk to anything. I thought the price was too high and probably wouldn't stay here again, all things considered.

Bring your own locks and towels as there are none in the room. all very clean and modern, with seperate shower and toilets. bar in lobby is nice with a pool/foosball table abd cheap beer. Excellent choice, would definetly go back.

This hostel is great, big and clean. You pay a low price and you feel like you are in a sofisticated hotel. There is a metro station very close and you also can walk to the mainly attrations from the hostel but the neighborhood itself is not great.

The Meininger was such a great and modern hostel/hotel. I loved how you had to use your key card to turn on the electricity - very efficient and cool. The one drawback was that it was located about 15 minutes from the city center. It ended up being an easy and enjoyable walk, but it would have been nice to be closer to everything.

The hotel is superb. Very tidy and big for the room. The breakfast is worth eating.

The hotel was ok, but 40 euros for a 8 bed room is too much!!! And without breakfast. I only stayed there because I had to stay somewhere, otherwise, I definitely could say in another place.

There were bus loads of middleschool kids here, Noisy all night. This is a Hotel that rents beds, not a hostel, there is no hostel atmosphere. Very nice but not traditional, Good location. tho.

I was in Brussels as a journalist. An excellent alternative to expensive hotels.

Extremely nice hostel, clean facilities, cheap towel rental, soap provided in shower, nice staff and helpful. Definitely recommend. Short walk to city center too.

Hostel: Very tall ceiling, huge corridors (they could have used it for more bedrooms!). You won't feel cramped even in a 8-bed bedroom because it is spacious. Bathrooms are clean. Beds look new. And what I like most is every bed has a bed lamp and individual charger. Staff: First night the water flow in the shower was slow but once I told the staff next morning, it got taken of. Very good.

Rooms looked clean, sleek and modern. I slept extremely well. And my favorite part was that they held my luggage both before check-in and after check-out, which I really appreciated.

The room was very compact with quite small beds but it was very clean and had a shower and toilet en suite which was great. The hostel is very big with lots of facilities and a friendly staff. The location is not far from the city centre but the area is a bit rough, I would be careful at night.
