I stayed in Meininger hostel for 2days. Even though the hostel is located quite far from city center, it was very clean and comfortable place. During my stay, I could have good night sleep. Workers was very kind as well. If I visit Brussel again I'm going to stay here as well.

We stayed in a private 4 person ensuite and we could not have been more pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hotel that we received for our money. The location is good. A 15 minute walk to the city centre but it's a straight shoot once your across the canal and entirely worth reduced pricing for the distance. Very impressed! Biggest complaint: water was €3.50 to buy in hotel!! :(

Very close to city center and metro. Beds were super comfortable and hot water seems to last. Wifi was good. Excellent hostel only wished could of stayed longer!!
Possibly a little pricey some nights but great kitchen, very clean and in a good spot in Brussels!! Loved our stay!
I was most disappointed that you need to pay to use their computers since their description implied otherwise. The receptionist said it's a 10min walk to the midi station which was not true at all. Very walkable distance to the grand place and includes SANDEMAN's walking tour (one of the best walking tour company) Also I was pleased they included a map of Bruges as well as map of Brussels. The rooms are also clean and spacious
Awesome place to stay. Very funky and fun. Very neat and clean. Would stay here again.
MEININGER is a good brand and has greatly designed hostels, but the location of this one was so far from the city center, it was too much, and the atmosphere was only okay.
Super clean, the staff were friendly and excellent, the inside of the rooms are sleek and fairly large, and the bar is a great place to relax. I also took the free walking tour my first morning and it was great! It was super informative, and a good way to familiarise myself with the city (I only got lost once). It's so close to the old city, but not close enough that it's super noisy and full of drunks. Definitely will be staying here again my next trip to Brussels.
Menininger are a proper hotel chain and have impressive property in brussels. The rooms are extremely good with nice furniture, lifts and huge lobby. The bar at the common room is well stocked and good place to socialize . The staff are extremely helpful w.r.t knowledge of the city, booking of tickets, activities in & around the hostel The Wi-Fi is not so good in the rooms and you will have to come down to reception to get a good signal. There are no lockers in the room.
Pretty fancy hostel, but it looks more like a hotel.
If you are looking for an intimate, fun hostel to meet people, do not stay here... It is enormous, very difficult to meet/interact with people. The staff informed us that we couldn't bring in any alcohol bought outside the hostel
I enjoyed my stay at the hostel. It was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful. There seemed to be very big queues at check in time, and very few staff on the desk, which meant a long wait to be served, but aside from that, no issues with the hostel at all, I will definitely stay in a Meininger Hostel again
Clean, great for price, shame you couldn't get a drink from the bar on Saturday night as there were no staff available.
It's a beautiful hostel, it look like a hotel!! It's like 10-15min walking to go at the center. It's not to expensive, you can got good deal, but if you want the breakfast, it's not free.
really nice hostel!!!
I made really good friends here, and the facilities are really good. One downside was that there were way too many kids around making noises. Quite disturbing. But other than that, was great. The way to the hostel might get a bit creepy during the night if you're alone.
18€ per day for parking seems a little much
I don't usually love HUGE hostels as a solo traveler but seeing as I was with my boyfriend this trip we booked MEININGER and I just cant fault it! The staff are friendly & helpful, the rooms (private & dorm) are beautiful & very comfortable, the location is good, the entire hostel is spotless all the time & even though it is a huge hostel they still have a fully equipped kitchen! Overall Fantastic!! The only negative is that it does attract big groups of people which is not my ideal atmosphere.
MEININGER Brussels was very helpful in navigating us around town upon our arrival. The option to rent a bike from the hostel was a definite bonus as most of Brussels was easily accessed with a bicycle. The rooms were very appealing and beds VERY comfortable (One of the best hostel beds i have slept in!) I would definitely recommend if you are staying in Brussels.
Fantastic hostel. Awesome decor, friendly atmosphere and only a 15 minute walk from the one of the central areas of Brussels.
