The kitchen was not in a good state and the lockers didn't lock properly, but otherwise it was a great stay and very good value for money.

The Meinninger was a great place to stay, although a while from town but just 4 or 5 stops on the Metro. wasnt hard to find either. I did find it somewhat quiet though, alot of rules are implied that set the mood to almost silence in the hostel lobby. The bar wasnt open when I was there so everyone was drinkin individually. Really liked the room though and made alot of friends in it. Breakfast is good, stock up for the day! .

This hostel is a little but far away from the centre of things but it's an easy train ride into town and to the Reeperbahn. Altona station is not far at all. People should note that "Toom" is not a st but the name of a supermarket nearby. They need to fix this on their directions. Fairly easy to find tho. Has very little atmosphere as the bar is closed so the only way to meet peeps is in the kitchen. It's a hostel hotel so most of the guests are not fellow travelers but rather they are German.

Great value for money, this place is actually as good as most hotels but has the prices of affordable hostel. The location is not great, but still ok as public transportation work nicely and taxis as well (both are quite cheap).

The hostel is very nice, situated close to the U and S bahn (local tube), easy to reach. To the airport- 30 mins, to the historical centre- 5 mins, to the party area- 5 mins (2 or 3 stops by S bahn) or 30 mins- it`s a walking distance as i like to walk, the rooms are very clean and big, huge gap between double-docker beds. But it`s not a party hostel

Very nice rooms!! But Wi-Fi in rooms by paying and location was no good. About 15 mins to Sant-Pauli, and 25 mins to city center by walking. The rest was very nice!

It was fine. The wifi had problems at times but it was okay. Breakfast is overpriced but there was a grocery store nearby. The location was close to the train station so it was nice and convenient.

Rooms were very clean and facilities were good. Hostel was not near the main train station but is fairly close to the city centre by metro. Could have been better if there were individual powerpoints per bed and have WiFi in the rooms instead of at the lobby. Was quite surprised to see families with little kids before realizing that it is a hotel-hostel.

Hostel was very clean. Great value for what we paid. Not right in the center of the city but right next to Altona Train Station, which made all parts of the city easily accessible.

Excellent friendly staff, good location near the underground and a mall with a supermarket. clean for the most part although pets are allowed in the hostel and our floor smelled a bit like urine. other than than, a trendy, well designed and impressive hostel. a bit on the expensive side but fair when comparing the prices to other places in Hamburg. Hamburg is just expensive to stay overnight at.

It is a very friendly place and everyone is very helpful. A few days prior to my arrival I had to change my booking and there happened to be a problem with it, but when I arrived there they immediately made sure the problem was solved. The rooms are very clean and none of my belongings disappeared. The location is also perfect, it is very close to one of the main train stations and everything else I needed was in walking distance. I definitely recommend this place if you will stay in Hamburg.
