This place is a hotel. Yes it has Dorms but pretty much a hotel. Bar and common room were okay. Did meet some people there but it is a little bit out of town. Overall pretty clean, nice people. I thought breakfast wasn't worth the money.
A nice, fresh and big room. Good value for money!!
Awesome modern hostel with tons to offer. Key code security and 24/7 reception. Good bar and facilities downstairs. Right outside central station, super helpful staff except they forgot to inform us we would be changing rooms after the first night and when we came back at the end if the day all our stuff had been moved to another room and dome stuff was left in the old room. Other than that great hostel with tons of facilities
Alright I guess. Staff were nice right by the second major station and near enough to food.
No extra power sockets in the room to charge your phone. Shower and toilet in the rooms, was a bit weird (I rather have them outside of the room). 1 shower and 1 toilet for 8 people is not that much, so I had to wait to use it in the morning. The bar was closed at a Thursdaynight. The stay was nice but nothing special.
Every bed, including top bunk beds need to have electric power plugs comfortably within its range.
Like staying in a premium hotel but sharing your bedroom. Not the best place if you like the "hostel atmosphere" to know people, but ideal ideal to rest in comfort. Recommended!
Very good hostel for the price. Clean and friendly staff. They need a new washing machine and dryer but this is my only criticism. Recommend / will stay there again.
The rooms were very clean and as long as the windows stay closed it also was very quiet. The staff is extraordinally friendly and helpful. If you still don't have specific plans for your stay in Hamburg, ask a receptionist, they will be able to help you in several languages. The breakfast for 6,90Euros was pretty basic... We chose the hostel for a clean and tidy stay without thhe complications on our two days Hamburg trip and that's what we got.
Would not recommand to get there alone at night if solo female traveller. A bit far from the main attractions but good facilities and clean. Staff helpful
Meininger Hamburg was a very clean hostel and is located near to Altona station so it is quite easy to get around. The rooms are quite spacious and the beds are comfortable. Overall, it was a good stay...
Reaaaaaallly nice hostel. It is more like a hotel - excellent rooms and facilities. I was travelling alone, though, and it was pretty hard to meet other people there as there didn't really seem to be a common area beside the bar. It was not a bad walk to the Reeperbahn, but if you want to go back and forth between the center of town, you may need to catch public transport unless you like walking. Otherwise, clean, good wifi, nice hotel:)
Visited in summer, no air conditioned in my room. We had to sleep with window open, then ther was too much noise from outside. Out of that, it is very clean, and the staff is great.
We had a nice stay at this hostel. We arrived earlier than excepted but the room was already finished.

the one washer and the one dryer for everyone is a joke, right Meininger?
Rooms were big and clean. Breakfast was very good , there could be more fruits to offer though. I liked my stay in Meininger Hamburg!
I stayed there during some of the hottest days hamburgs seen in a long time, and it being a green hostel they didn't have any kind of air conditioning. Their bar is also right outside of the front door, so if you're trying to sleep with the windows open because of the heat, you have to put up with the noise from the bar. If it hadn't been so hot it would've been a much better stay
The hostel is really big and quite used to host big groups of persons, so it could be a bit chaotic and noisy. I slept in a mixed dorm and I had to change bed once cause of the previous not so comfortable bed. The second bed was definitely better. A part from this tiny things the hostel is a quite good hostel, with all the facilities and a nice and helpful staff.
It is a nice place to stay during your trip to Hamburg, the staff is very nice and helpful.
