Staff was extremley friendly and helpful. Very clean and by some fun pubs. About a 20 minute walk from train station.

Very clean, cozy atmosphere. There're lots of ingredients we could use in this hostel. They're nice for me. I had a great time to stay in Kilkenny and this hostel!

The hostel is really great and the place to stay when you're in Kilkenny! It was very clean, the atmosphere was quite easy going and it absolutely felt like home. I would definitely recommend staying here and hope to come back one day :)

It\'s the second time I\'m coming to MacGabhainns. It\'s a very good place for bacpackers, with a friendly atmosphere (lovely dogs!). Probably the cleanest hostel I\'ve ever been to, and with a great kitchen to use. I totally recommend it :-)

I liked the peaceful atmosphere of the hostel and the facility also the location in the beautiful town of Kilkenny . That was a big difference after some crowded Dublin hostels. Also staff was helpful.

Very clean, comfy beds and nice dogs. The staff was a little intrusive, but there were not too many others staying there so we got a bit too much attention. The room were a bit too cold for our taste but on the other hand, the duvets were warm. An okey stay and worth the money.

This hostel offered me everything I was looking for while travelling on wintertime: a warm and welocming place, comfy bed, and great bathroom! I felt so good I decided to stay longer. Thank you guys for the nice time!

This hostel helped to make Kilkenny my favorite place in all of Ireland. They have a wonderful staff, comfortable beds, a lovely TV room and kitchen and it is in a great area. I would and have recommended this hostels to others and if and when I get back to Kilkenny I will stay there again.

Definitely one of the best hostels I have ever stayed in. Rooms were pretty spacious, comfy beds and most importantly awesome showers. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the kitchen was well equipped. Only down side was it was a little cold sometimes at night and on Saturdays it can get a little loud, but by far one of the best hostels that is safe and close to everything. You can even do a load of washing for a small fee and there was always someone around to have fun with :)

The location is great and quite easy to find. The staff was excellent and was one lf the few hostels in which I had wifi in the room as well ! Excellent. The common room's lights were non functional and it was freezing in terephthalate Furgus was awesome and started a fire for us. The beds are very clean and each room has an individual bathroom with a very good size shower ! Also the kitchen is clean and well equipped. There was even a dishwasher woohoo for not doing dishes.

One of my favourite hostels in Ireland. Always good to catch up with Fergus and as usual a great stay, although too brief. One of those hostels that feels like home. Small and cozy. Always the place to stay in Kilkenny.

Great Hostel One of the best run I have visited....

This hostel is a little farther away from the centre than the other hostel in town, but the town is small so its not a big deal. The rooms were tiny and so were the bathrooms. The room was clean but the bathroom left something to be desired. Also they have dogs staying there which was a problem for my allergies. The hostel was pretty quiet when I was there, but I would imagine it would be very cramped when it gets busy. I probably wouldn\'t stay there again.

Macgabhainns was an awesomely cute hostel. Everything was clean and nice, especially the kitchen area. Nice showers and comfy beds. The staff was pleasant and friendly. One of the best hostels I've stayed in so far. :) Definitely recommended!
