Even though there were barely any people staying at the hostel because it was not the season I had to stay in the most expensive room. The cheaper ones were under 'construction'. However, still not an expensive stay. For Chinese standards the rooms were clean, but cold (november). The common area is heated and a nice place to hang out. Overall, I'd stay here again without any second thoughts.

It's a little run down, but not as bad as some other reviews implied :-) There was plenty of hot water and the showers were clean, so I was pretty happy to get there after two days on a train. Beds are rock hard. Staff don't really speak english, but you can make yourself understood. Lounge area is an ok place to meet other travellers.
