Staff not often at front desk, so waiting to get in the locked outside door can be a problem for check in.

Owner Comment (Hide)
The front desk is staffed from 7 till midnight and staff is working around hostel so need to ring a hostel bell if nobody there. We also accept check ins after midnight if arrival time has been sent to us by email.

No dramas though as the tram is a 5 minute walk. Really handy when arriving at strange hours by bus / train. Excellent in terms of price!

Great facilities. A long walk from city center, but a good hostel with large lockers and lots of space in the rooms. Enjoyed very much.

Excellent staff, great rooms at an excellent price, location is a bit far out of town but we found it easy to walk in and find everything.

Great Hostel. Even though it's not very close to the center it's a great place to rest and the staff is extremely helpful.

Was a nice stay in Zagreb, very clean hostel!

Very nice hostel. Only a short walk to the tram which takes you straight to the centre of Zagreb, which is just over 3km away. The staff were incredibly helpful, the rooms were spacious and clean, and the kitchen and social area were well kept and pleasant. We didn't stay too long as we were hopping between cities but for what we needed it was ideal.

Ok, nothing special, great staff though.

Great value for money in regards to the rest of Europe. Was some cool chill out spots bit weren't there for long enough to get a good vibe for the joint. Staff were sick

Nice clean comfortable affordable hostel with super friendly helpful staff.

Not in the best location, but it's a nice hostel with nice staff!

A surprise of a hostel! Odd location, but great if doing a road trip like we were, or if you needed the stadium. Like we did too! Really clean and AC was efficient and required. Staff were helpful and informative.

This hostel is a bargain for the money we paid. The staff are really helpful, the beds comfortable and there is air conditioning (definitely required in Zagreb in the summer!). You can lock all your luggage away in the wardrobe. The hostel is only 3 stops from the bus station by tram. Two big supermarkets nearby. Two showers in both the male and female bathrooms so you never have to wait too long.

Best hostel I have ever stayed in. Free water, clean, friendly, little bit out of town but seriously it doesn't matter you can get a tram. Martina who works there took our friend to hospital and translated everything to English. Can not thank them enough! 10/10 seriously, just stay here!

Initially we only booked one night but ended up extending our stay. Although it's a little bit far from the city centre, but it's quite near to the main bus station. So for those whose purpose in Zagreb is mainly to transit or taking daytrips out, this hostel is an excellent value for money. Hostel is clean, staffs are helpful, they have water cooler so you can have cold water all the time in the summer (which is extremely important). Overall it's a very good stay in Maju Jaya Hostel :)

Super clean hostel and very friendly and helpful staff. Kitchen area was very well equipped and there are 2 good grocery stores a 7 minute walk away. Air conditioning in the rooms was awesome! Location is far from the center, but the quality of the hostel is very good, so in my opinion, worth it. Public transport costs are average, approx 1.30 euro/ 10 kuna. I had a very good time and it was both social and relaxing.

We were only here for a night as we were only staying in Zagreb to get a bus the next day but we all wished we could have stayed longer. The best hostel we stayed in - beds were comfy, showers were great, there was a kitchen and a common room with a TV as well as computers which were free to use. Staff were really friendly and allowed us to check in quite late due to our train.

Very uncomfortable beds and at least a 35 minute walk to the center. It claims to have won a cleanliness award, but the bathrooms were pretty dirty. Wouldn't recommend unless you are on a very strict budget because it was only nice for how cheap it was.

We are sorry for your experience, but we are known and rewarded for the comfort, roominess, good beds and great cleanliness. True - our location is not in strict center but we compensate with great pricing - the one can save more then 50% with us for the same.

Maju Jaya was a beautiful and clean hostel and my biggest regret is that I could only stay for one night! Fantastic showers with towels included, and large luggage lockers as well. Nice common room with computers and a big selection of DVDs to watch. Great kitchen as well, which I wish I had gotten to use more. Overall, a well-staffed, exceptionally clean hostel with a lot of fun, young travelers.

Nice hostel with extremely friendly staff, helpful and smile free all the times, the 2 pretty lady and 2 handsome guy are wonderful, same goes to the cleaner. Facilities and cleanliness are perfect, but need more WC. Anyway, highly recommended for those who coming to Zagreb.
