The hostel was OK, not outstanding. First room we got was not clean, but we got another room right away. Breakfast was very nice though.

It was a clean hostel with nice breakfast, for such a cheap price the hostel is ok, don't expect anything special. Overall it was a great place only to sleep, showers need improvement, with such a weak water flow it takes ages to wash your hair.

Pretty good place for a couple looking for a cheap private room. Nice courtyard to hang out and meet people and a very delicious breakfast. The rooms decor is lacking and the staff play crappy music all day. Overall enjoyed our stay.

Was the right choice. Would have prefered one by the beach. But there is none in Tulum. It also does have wifi in all rooms and free internst access. Also you get a nice breakfast.

Only stayed one night in Tulum, we arrived in the evening and immediately left in the morning so we did not stay too long in the hostel. It seemed very nice though: rooms had airco (great), breakfast was good as were the showers/toilets.

The listing says it has air conditioning, but there isn\'t any in the dorm, only in the private rooms. There were still plenty of fans, though, and it wasn\'t too hot. Other than that, this was a great place to stay. The lady that runs it is very nice and generous - she even shared her birthday dinner with us. The bathrooms were clean and convenient to the dorm.

The ladies were nice, but the guys of the staff were idler, always watching Tv on puting the volume of the radio on maximum...they clean but just once and there is just 2 showers for 12 with one without light.

The breakfasts at Mama's home - fresh and different every day - were the highlight of this friendly place. It has a good location, close to the bus station, collectivos and restaurants. The pricy suites looked like they were very comfortable, and the dorm beds looked clean and comfortable, but our room lacked any finishing touches. We would have appreciated screens on the window, and hooks or shelves in the room and the shared bathrooms. We didn't have any hot water, cold showers were nice.

I stayed there 2 days (in dorms). Location is good in the Centro. Breakfast changes everyday, really nice. Not a lot of ambiance though.

I met more nice people here in 3 days than in other places in 2 weeks. The staff was very friendly, helpful and over all....absolutely great! I wish I could have stayed there much longer than 3 days!

Really nice place to stay in Tulum. The private room was big and spacious with the most comfortable hostel bed we encountered in Mexico. The free breakfast is tasty, they have bikes for rent, and it's a short walk to the main road. We enjoyed our stay and hope to get back there some day!

Mama was very friendly, always calling me by name and asking how things were. The staff was friendly as well, always chatting and giving advice.

No doubt the best hostel in tulum. I can say thats a fact because when Mama was fully booked and I had a look at other hostels I was not all that impressed to the point that I booked a nice little hotel on the main drag la'hostelita which is also a great find.
