Very helpful staff, made my stay a real pleasure. Will use McClays again.

Great breakfast!

The building was a bit run down. There were quite a few hairs in the sheets and towels.

The beds were not comfortable but everything else was good.

The room I booked was kind of falling apart. The bed was really uncomfortable and the sheets felt like they hadn't been washed in a while. It was close to town, if you're okay with walking past like three bars with a ton of people outside on a Friday evening. This is someone's thing, but it's definitely not mine.

Overall a positive experience at McLay's, but there is quite a substantial climb to the hostel from Glasgow Central. Might want to seriously consider taking a cab.

Value for money in city centre location, simple but clean rooms, very friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast. Have been coming back for years and will stay there again in the future.

We spent 3 lovely days in McLays Guest house. Amazing and kind staff always helping out. Our room was for 2 comfortable and even better than we imagined. The hotel itself was really well located(barely 20min from city centre.) and very easy to find from buchanan bus station.breakfast was nice. The only downside was that only one bathroom for over 6 rooms was not enough .

I was in Glasgow for a football match and I have been at McLays just one night. The room was small but clean and cozy, and although the bathrooms and showers were not in the room they were clean and spacious. All staff have been very friendly to me, smiling and providing useful information. Breakfast was nicer than the average B&B breakfast and the price was great. Glasgow City center is 15 minutes walking or 5 minutes taxi and the West End is not far either.

Friendly staff, well equipped. Location is good but in a noisy area (several night clubs nearby).

The staff was so nice and helpful! The lady at the front desk was so friendly and went out of her way to make sure we had a great stay. We had a very large and spacious room that was perfect for the 3 of us. Definitely a great value for our money.

The room was ok but all the doors squeak and being woken at 2 in the morning is not fun. In our room the widows had a gap and so they rattled all night, the blinds covering the window did not help block anything out. Breakfast was average but most likely wouldn't go back again
