We spent 3 lovely days in McLays Guest house. Amazing and kind staff always helping out. Our room was for 2 comfortable and even better than we imagined. The hotel itself was really well located(barely 20min from city centre.) and very easy to find from buchanan bus station.breakfast was nice. The only downside was that only one bathroom for over 6 rooms was not enough .

I was in Glasgow for a football match and I have been at McLays just one night. The room was small but clean and cozy, and although the bathrooms and showers were not in the room they were clean and spacious. All staff have been very friendly to me, smiling and providing useful information. Breakfast was nicer than the average B&B breakfast and the price was great. Glasgow City center is 15 minutes walking or 5 minutes taxi and the West End is not far either.

Friendly staff, well equipped. Location is good but in a noisy area (several night clubs nearby).

The staff was so nice and helpful! The lady at the front desk was so friendly and went out of her way to make sure we had a great stay. We had a very large and spacious room that was perfect for the 3 of us. Definitely a great value for our money.

The room was ok but all the doors squeak and being woken at 2 in the morning is not fun. In our room the widows had a gap and so they rattled all night, the blinds covering the window did not help block anything out. Breakfast was average but most likely wouldn't go back again

Value for money? Most definitely! McLays Guest House is right in the city centre, close enough to most tourist attractions, the rooms are very basic (old even), and Breakfast is included which is a big plus. However, don't expect a lot from this place - the staff is friendly enough, the rooms are a bit rough, security is relatively poor I'd say, and walls are probably too thin... But if you are not high maintenance and just looking for a cheap, yet comfortable stay, do stay here.

Comfortable stay for one night with a great location in the city. Building could use updates and a bit pricey for the accommodations but a good place to rest for a night.

Both the reception and kitchen staff were very service minded and helpful. There is a friendly and polite atmosphere. The room was made everyday and fresh towels were provided. However the building has come to age and would definitely profit of a major refurbishment. The location is excellent for all endeavors in the city. Shops of all kind and an array of nice restaurants are within short walking distance. The Charing Cross train station is close by connecting to Central station.

Room was fine but hall rugs worn and dirty. Kept sending me email until I finally filed out this feedback. Hope emails stop!
