i was delighted with everything, i have already booked for next year.

Both showers on the floor haven't worked apropriate. One was just hot, the other either rather cold or also too hot (plus it was full filthy stuff in the evening - what is not the mistake by the Hotel, but frequent controls could help).

The hot breakfast was really good location was pretty solid

The receptionist was very friendly efficient and lovely. Made is feel welcome immediately. The breakfast staff were very friendly but seemed overly busy and short staffed for the number of visitors.

The staff was very friendly. We didn't have time to sit down for breakfast because we had to rush out to make a tour we booked for and one of the staff member offered to have the chef prepare us a breakfast sandwich on the go. That was so nice. We enjoyed the sandwich very much! I will definitely book a room there again if I go back to visit Glasgow, or refer the place to friends visiting the city.

WIFI was robust! Breakfast was excellent!

Very helpful staff, made my stay a real pleasure. Will use McClays again.

Great breakfast!

The building was a bit run down. There were quite a few hairs in the sheets and towels.

The beds were not comfortable but everything else was good.

The room I booked was kind of falling apart. The bed was really uncomfortable and the sheets felt like they hadn't been washed in a while. It was close to town, if you're okay with walking past like three bars with a ton of people outside on a Friday evening. This is someone's thing, but it's definitely not mine.

Overall a positive experience at McLay's, but there is quite a substantial climb to the hostel from Glasgow Central. Might want to seriously consider taking a cab.
