Summary of traveller reviews

Glasgow Youth Hostel offers a beautiful historic building with spacious common areas and friendly, helpful staff. It's located in a lovely area next to a park, though be aware of the many stairs as there's no lift. Some guests noted issues with room temperature and shower functionality.

Fancy building. It was an elegant hotel converted hostel. Very comfortable common areas.

We were pleasantly surprised by the double private room. Lots of space and most importantly it was very quiet. I liked the double door system so that the entrance in to our room wasnt straight from the corridor. Nice and clean too. It was the only room under £100 for 1 night in Glasgow we could find

The rooms were very clean and there were alarms on the door which made me feel very safe. All the staff were super friendly and very helpful. I would definitely recommend this to solo travellers and also first time solo travellers. there was a laundry room which had washing powder, and also the self-catering kitchen was filled with kitchen supplies for any meal that you could think to make. The reception is also stocked full of beverages and snack snacks in case you get peckish.
