This is a really big hostel, with a lot of beds. Maybe the hostel is a little bit too big to be comfortable. But I would recommend it. It is save (big lockers and a security guy in front of the door 24h), the breakfast is really good and the staff is friendly. You are also very close to the cathedral and the metro station.

Just spent a 11 hour layover in Mexico City and stayed at this hostel. Solid location, nicely decorated, and good security but the hostel staff wasn't the most friendly and helpful. Decent choice if you need a place to crash but I'm sure that Mexico City has better hostels out there.

This hostel has a great location right by the Zocalo and provides good access to public transportation in Mexico City. The facilities (showers, beds, kitchen, etc) are all clean and well maintained. This hostel is definitely on the larger side, and as a result has slightly less of the "community" feel though. Staff is good, but did not offer any help unprompted with regards to sites to see nearby etc. This is probably a better hostel for people in groups vs. solo travelers trying to meet people.

This place is fine if you are acusum to jail cells. There was nothing wrong with the place except there was no window. We quickly booked the last remaining air bnb in the city and were much more comfortable. But if you dont need light or privacy there is nothing wrong with this place. The eggs are free and nice if you can over look the unfriendly sings about them and everything.

We stayed in both a 12 bed mixed dorm and private room. Dorm beds were good and big lockers. Private room was nice. Bathrooms always clean. Breakfast was good. Main gripe is to do with wifi, which seemed to be NOT working most of the time on all levels of the hostel. We found this inconvenient despite the hostel supplying a couple of computers.

This is a perfect hostel for wanting Location to be your main priority. Right next to the zocalo of Mexico City, in a historic building, you get a decent place to sleep. Breakfast is small but is a nice touch. The hostel itself is at least 3 floors, and feels very 'dormitory' style, instead of home-y. But great value! Definitely not much 'atmosphere', but that's why you have the whole city to explore!

Pros: Great location and very clean/safe. Cons: No social atmosphere and incredibly loud at night (the walls don't block any sound from other rooms or the outside).

Very big hostel with lots of rooms. Felt more like a hotel. Amazing location. But not much of atmosphere. Despite being so big, didn't meet many people.
