The good points were manager Craig picked me up from the bus terminal to the hostel at 11:30 pm. The room was good value for money really, shower facilities way better than in other hostels of this kind I've been to. Not sure what you mean by security-the place was protected by a hired security firm-then it was good, but I'm not sure about the security on the premises - I got a key to the main door and this same key was also to my room so it fit other rooms too? 8.5 points on the 10 point scale.

the manager didn't meet me at the airport as arranged. Although he knew my arrival time I couldn't get into the hostel as it was locked. It is used as a permanent base for fruit pickers and is not suitable for tourists.
Basic hostel accommodation, just as described on the web. I was only staying one night, so I was kindly given a room to myself. Mildura in summer is all about fruit picking, so there are lots of long-stayers there while they work, making a home away from home. The room had a TV and mini fridge. The hostel has a decent kitchen, clean bathrooms, laundry, common room with DVDs, and some space outside. Great security; keyed room, keyed front door.
