Fantastic Hostels. When i Came back Buenos Aires i´ll stay in Millhouse.
Party hostel with planned events daily. Personally, i think i would prefer a small social hostel. This place is very large with many people. The rooms are basic. You have to pay extra for air con and the rooms get hot even with a fan. No WiFi in the rooms, although you could argue that this promotes slightly more social behavior by hanging in the common area. Good breakfast. Quality bathrooms.
The facilities are fantastic, great location - but it is just too big. There are too many people and I found that everyone sticks to their own groups and nobody mingles. Staff aren't very helpful and due to the fact that there are so many travellers there is no personal connection. Within 20mins of check-in a staff member could not recall me even being checked in.
Great place but consider changing the locker cages with actual lockers.
Great hostel very well run with tours for everyday made very clear on arrival. Staff really helpful. Awesome breakfast. Nightlife is good. Need alot more kitchen utensils! Other than that Buenos Aires is a great city!
What a hostel! I loved my stay here. Staff was great and helpful, rooms were clean and spacious. Every night something to do. I loved the tango show recommended by the hostel. For sure will stay here again if I visit BA in the future.
Great if you're a lone traveler looking for a place that organizes activities. Central location, beds are good with personal lamp. The place is pretty large so can be a bit noisy.
I stayed in both a private and a dorm. The private was lovely, the dorm was basic but decent enough. The atmosphere is good- less forced than other party hostels and organised nights every evening. Good place to meet people if solo. Also, as they share parties with the other Milhouse, half the time it's actually very quiet at night if you do feel more like a chill. Good location and very friendly staff especially at the travel desk
Hostel was great, facilities were amazing, vibe was excellent, staff were super friendly and helpful and the range of activities, services and tours on offer was fantastic. Loved the party atmosphere at night, was really easy to meet fellow travellers. Would highly recommend this hostel to anyone looking to make the most of their time in Buenos Aires
Hostel is great, good facilities, activities organised for the days and nights to keep you busy. Especially thankful to the travel advisor Denise who organised the machu picchu trek for me at a great rate and at late notice. I was even struggling later on to make the date I booked the trip for and she arranged to change my trek to a week later! Highly recommend seeing Denise, she's great!
Excellent hostel! Parties in the night, so yes it is a party hostel. But there is also enough to do during the day. For example the walking tours are cool, cheap and recommendable. Next to that, the parties are either in Avenue or the nearby hostel Hipo round the day, which means there are enough quiet evenings also. Facilities are decent. No wifi in the rooms and sometimes wifi is not so strong. But all in all, I think Milhouse is the place to stay in BA!
Milhouse Avenue is an amazing hostel to stay in BsAs. I got the chance to meet a lot of cool people, the walking tours were great and there was something to do every single day. Definitely recommend it!
Rooms were pretty disgusting. On the plus side staff were helpful. Tour desk staff were only helpful if it seemed they were going to get the 'sale'. The city walking tour dragged on for several hours and was probably one of the poorest walking tours we'd done across the world. Security in the rooms isn't the best with the one-key-for-all system although they do have large lockers. Still the hostel is in a great location and not too bad.
Absolutely fantastic hostel. By far the best we stayed in while in south America. Great combination of good nightlife and clean, comfortable rooms. Would definetly recommend.
The hostel is very well located. The facilities in the hostel are very good too. But the internet in the hostel is not really great, and it is not available in any of the rooms. In a way that's good, people spend less time in their rooms, but the disadvantage is without any connectivity it also becomes difficult to communicate.
Great hostel.. big but still with a looot of atmosphere. Amazing building. Good to get to know new people, super friendly staff, would recommend it! Only negative were maybe the parties, which are great for 18+ to 26 years old but personally were a bit to highschool for me. but all by all great place to spend your days when in BA!
Great atmosphere to party. Staff weren't the most helpful
While a social hostel, it does feel like drinking in a unatmospheric school canteen. The breakfast is good, the staff are knowledgable and it's fun for a night or two. But ultimately it is expensive inauthentic gringo hostel with cramped windowless rooms and dirty bathrooms. If you want to stay in a Milhouse, we thought hippo was better. We however moved to a hostel in Palermo and had much more authentic Buenos Aries experience.
Great place to meet people, lots of activities, friendly and helpful staff. Wifi isn't good in the rooms, need power outlets n the rooms also. If you want to book an extra night or two they make you check out at 11am and check back in at 2pm.. There should be a better way to streamline is process considering there was no one left in my room when I wanted to book extra nights. Fun hostel though!!
It was a really good stay. The staff was helpful and i met with great people. I would definitely stay here again if i ever end up in BA. Highly recommended party hostel.
