Does exactly what it says on the tin I guess - a party hostel where most guests drink too much and sleep all day. Good location for those who actually managed to see some of BA in the daylight. Lifts broken when I was there which was not great for people on the 5th floor!!!!

Amazing staff and general vibe at Milhouse Avenue! The staff are so friendly and helpful and make it feel like a home away from home, even though there is a crazy party vibe most nights! Organised tours and party nights make it really great to meet people if you are travelling alone and to see the amazing city of Buenos Aires without wallking in circles, map in hand! Can't wait to go back!

Bed bugs everywhere. had room with ac. to get it turned on they charge 36 pesos per 12 hours. pc's are only 4 and constantly busy. not even with windows so camera didn't get recognised. can't bring any drinks in there and have to buy exp drinks at bar inside hostel. staff is nice. tours are overpriced. they try to keep it all clean. great location.

Owner Comment (Show)
Dear Ronny, I'm afraid you got it wrong! As you can see here in HW, we have 2 kind of dorm rooms, without AC for AR$70 pesos and with AC for AR$76 pesos. That's only $6 pesos more, not $36! We do have to make a difference in price, otherwise it wouldn't be fair for the people in dorms without AC. In any case, when making the booking you chose a room without AC, that's why you got a room without AC. The bedbugs episode in your room was completely circumstantial, brought by someone in his sleeping bag, and we took care of that the following day, by fumigating your dorm thoroughly. From there to say that they were "everywhere" is a bit exagerating, isn't it? AS per drinks, if you think a beer for AR$10 or $12 pesos is expensive, I believe you didn't go to any bar in BA to compare? Otherwise you would see they are very cheap! All the best and hope to see you in another opportunity

We loved our stay. Really. Great facilities, staff really nice, and the parties are awesome! The only problem is that we got some bedbugs on our bed. Surely, that can happen and gonna be solved asap.

Very good option for those seeking to meet people and have lots of activities. Not too much for those who just want a quite place to sleep.

It is a very nice hostel if u want party, but in the same time, this Millhouse is so big that became impersonal. If you are travelling alone, is just like arrive alone in a club. Location is very good, but breakfast could be better.

Milhouse Avenue has a bad silence and security policy. The hostel has an internal space exposing every floor, which makes the rooms near the floors balconies subjected to the whole hostel noise. People shouting and making noise all night long through the hostel corridors, doors slamming and people trying to open my room’s door make my night very long and tired. I spent only one night in this hostel and that was enough.

The noisiest hostel I´ve ever stayed! There were guys shouting (and even fighting) on the floors all the time, specially during the night. I could´t sleep in the nights I´ve stayed there...If the hostel define some rules for the guests, no one respects them at all (and nothing happens!). The amosphere was very poor, there were just big groups of guys talking among each other. If you´re a solo traveler, definely don´t stay at this hostel. I wouldn´t stay there again!

Good fun hostel. Met some great people...very social place. Good at organizing activities, although don't book big club nights through them. 150peso for a night that costs only 40peso to get in, and free entry for girls. Breakfast fairly average. Clean rooms, good bathrooms. Definitely worth staying at, but if spending a while in BA, it's worth also looking for a hostel in Palermo....great bars, restaurants and shopping.

In Buenos Aires it is not easy to say which is the best location. This is definitely OK. However, it is very much party-oriented. Staff is a crowd in itself - so you get a variety od very nice people and rather rude ones (one turned his back on me in the middle of a converastion and started talking to somebody else). The tours they offer I consider very expensive (comparative what you can get elsewhere) and - pay attention! coming from Uruguay then the instruction on the website is wrong

Staff were more interested in talking between themselves than helping us, which was not great when we had spend over an hour walking with our rucksacks and only wanted to drop them off in our room. Hostel was in a great location and lots of fun, just the staff and a very average breakfast let them down.

The only thing to note is that if you leave your bags in their basement luggage room, beware! There was only one locker, and the other bags were on shelves and the floor. It was very full, with people throwing their bags wherever and squashing others´ things. One girl´s bag even got broken because someone carelessly threw their mammothian bag on top of hers.
