Nice people, good location and confortable room and facilities
Was ok to stay at but nothing special. If you have a problem with toilets integrated in the shower cabins or such this is probably not the place for you. Functionality is the overwriting principle here.
The location is perfect, so close to Shang Tang street, the most important street of Suzhou. But facilities are old, toilet and shower conditions are poor, the bed is very old and very uncomfortable, and in January it was quite cold in the room. Good point: 1 computer with Internet connection for free. Hairdryer and paper toilet are available for free use.
Good location and nice buildings that are part of the historical canal city. I booked a private room, but found it dirty with dozens of long black hairs on the floor, a blocked shower drain and lots of black mold in the shower. There is a nice hostel cafe near the canals and a good bar in the main building. But it also is the home to many cats and dogs, large bags of dog food, plates of petfood and other junk, give the hostel a cluttered messy smelly atmosphere
The hostel is close to all the facilities and markets. The weather is excellent. The traditional look and feel of the hostel and surroundings is excellent for a change. The staff was very good and helpful. The bicycles for any movement is worth the while as your movement gets better to enjoy the place.
This hostel is special because of the staff, Sophie and Ting. But, once you know where you are, you discover how well located it is.
