The staff was awesome. Marc and everyone at the front desk let me use their own computer to book my flight to HK. They gave me suggestions on where to go and stay and were just wonderful. The bathrooms didn't have much or any toilet paper and were dirty. The pillow on my bed also was too flat, which made sleeping hard Otherwise great time.

The rooms were not really clean but it's enough to spend there a few days (we were there two). There is one recepcionist who is not really helpful (at least he wasn't with us) but if you need a cheap hostel for a couple of days, this one is good.

This hostel is in an excellent location; within walking distance to most of the sights in Guilin. They also offer discounted tickets. The staff are excellent. I spent most of my time talking to Mark (single traveller) who helped me with my abysmal Chinese. Another female staff member was very kind and gave me a remedy for a bad cough I had one morning. I would highly recommend this hostel.

Excellent hostel, staff very helpful, wifi was quick! Bar had very nice food at reasonable prices. The rooms were very clean- and well heated! :-) showers and toilets were also very clean, and the water hot. Would definitely recommend!

Very nice hostel. Got a doble room which is very spacious. Altough it is at third floor. Perfect location near to Solitary Beauty Peak, Mt. Fubo. Supermarket is at front door and many food eateries is around 5 minutes walk. Nice and cheap. Very recommended.

Great location, very helpful staff. Our twin room was quite large and the beds were comfy. Our bathroom was a shower/toilet combo which wasn't ideal, but we managed. Good base for seeing the main sights in Guilin.

very kind, family-like staff. good location with tour bus pickup outside. also good food and bar selection. directly beside the palace if you're into that kinda thing; across the road is a weird but cool bar called 'cats&rabbits'.

This hostel was beautiful and comfortable and clean, especially the room. The pizza was really good as was the fried rice, and the bar was a nice place to hang out . The staff in the restaurant were friendly.

Nice place and helpful staff although the cleaning lady didn't do anything. Since we stayed for almost one week it was kind of annoying. For this price we would have cleaned the room ourselves but there were no cleaning tools. since some people complained about it being cold in the rooms before: we could get warm air through the air condition, so don't worry, but if you can't read chinese you'll probably have a hard time getting the settings right :)

Pretty good place to stay, although i thought Guilin as a whole would be more peaceful and serene. If you are looking for that, stay in guilin for 2 nights, go see the Longji Rice Terraces and then head south to Yangshuo and Xingping. The Hostel - Friendly, clean, decent value, good location, facilities... Nothing really to complain about. Oh, theye are doing some remodeling - loud construction in the front entrance/common room, but that should be done soon (Feb 2012).
