Mingtown Suzhou International Youth Hostel Reviews

Although greatly recommended by lonely planet, but I definitely recommend other hostels instead of this one. A very poor hostel with rude and strange staff, sorry to say that, but I really have to say this. Staff is very impolite and don't seem friendly and helpful at all. Facilities are quite poor, only one toilet shared among two mixed bedrooms which could somehow cause kiosk in the morning and evening times. I am sorry to say that this is the worse hostel I've stayed in China ever.

it was a little bit stinky in the bathroom. Also,the light was too dim to make out. but except for them,i really loved everything in there.

We had a very nice stay at this hostel in Suzhou. It is on the main historic canal street in the city and is close to all the nearby attractions. We chose a double room with shared bathroom facilities. The bathroom could have been kept cleaner, but it was fine. The room was cold but soon heated up when we put on the a/c. The cafe/restaurant area is not located within the hostel, it is a couple of doors down in another entrance which took away from the atmosphere in the hostel.
