Owner and staff were superb in every way. Room looked a bit rundown, but perfectly functional and kept spotlessly clean by staff. Would stay there again.

Location great, staff were exceptionally kind to me, and the breakfast was a feast. I'm really glad that I decided to stay here. Don't believe what people say about East Jerusalem... I felt completely safe, and I really enjoyed eating at the small restaurants near the hotel, having an amazing view of Jerusalem, and being so close to the Chapel of Ascension. The only thing that I didn't like was that I was never able to take a hot shower, because the water was always just warm (never hot).

Wore my ear plugs to counter noise across the street of constant arguing, but then that's just life in jerusalem in certain sections if you get my drift. Otherwise the place was ok, Jerusalem is high priced everywhere.

This is a little known gem! I am a white American who felt completely welcome and safe at all times. PLUS the views from some hotel windows and even the sidewalk in front of hotel is spectacular. You can see east wall of Temple Mount area and 50% of golden dome (because new apartmnents close-by block the view. But you can go across the street to Mustafa's roof top restaurant and see everything while enjoying a soft drink. Church of Ascension Shrine is next door and Pater Noster 1/2 block. Go!

Delicious breakfast, friendly staff, safe lockers in room, midday checkout. Beautiful view from the Mount of Olives over the old city of Jerusalem, possible to take the bus just outside the hotel to the city center. The hotel lies just next to a mosque, so you might wake up at sunrise because of the call to prayer depending on where your room is. The hotel is a bit run down, but I guess the price makes up for it.
