Definitely helps to have some Chinese language skills if you are travelling by yourself just to converse the numerous Chinese who stay here. Everything else was fine.

quite a clean and comfortable hostel, lots of sofa in the common area, easy to meet new friends.
Staff smoke everywhere and especially in the only room when you can acces the internet.. Everybody smoked everywhere in this hostel - really annoying I HATE SMOKING. Good for one night or smokers. They have expensive drinks (including water for drinking) and everything you buy in the hostel is nearly two times more expensive than in normal shops. There are wonderfull airconds and they clean all the dorms every day. Location is quite good.
the room rains when it rains, shity, downstairs is great.a nice restaurant next door make everything you need.
Update directions: hostel is ON the bridge, not before it. No restaurant on site, but a good one 2 doors away. Smoking is allowed - supposedly there is a non-smoking room in the back [no windows so no view] and people were smoking there :( Very stinky and annoying. Other hostels do not allow smoking. Had to ask for room to be cleaned and garbage removed.
The place is well-located. Great value for money. The beds are a bit uncomfortable.
The rooms are extremely dirty, especially the bathroom. Moreover the staff is not very helpful. I couldn't recommend this hostel.
This hostel still has improvements to do! First, the location was not so good because it was far from the subway station, and you should stop before the last stop when you take bus 44, stop in Pikiang lu, when you see the Macdonald´s. The toilets on the first floor were really disgusting, in the morning it was as bad as on the evening, the showers were ok but a bit old. The room was clean, with air con and good lockers. The staff was nice but they did not speak very good english.

Loved this hostel, a very homey place to stay. The staff were all super friendly, but they could work on learning some more English. My only complaints were the lack of food( they did have a deal where you can join the staff meal for a fair price), and the lack of cold water( due the the solar powered water heaters I'm told, and the extreme heat). they've got cold drinks, a small bar, and would be more than happy to direct you to where you're going!
