I think Fuzimiao hostel is my favourite hostel in China. It had a fantastic atmosphere, the staff were really friendly and the cafe/bar area, including the outside patio, was beautiful - perfectly shaded and sheltered. Perhaps my own personal affinity toward the place came with everyone\'s willingness [staff and other residents] to humour a foreigner just beginning to learn Chinese and to make him feel a part of everything. For that this stay was priceless.

This hostel has a very good ambiance. The common rooms are very nice. The beds are a bit too closed to each other, but it is ok. Overall the staff is nice also. I appreciated the location, near the pedestrian area with restaurants, souvenirs shops, river, etc. Great!

By far my best stay in China. When I stayed there, not many foreigners where there so I had a good chance to meet some chinese students which was very nice. The staff is very friendly. The lounge/bar has a nice balcony over a canal hidden behind some plants which is great to hang out in the evening. It is a little far away from the metro (~20 minutes; but maybe this will change when Nanjing has its 10 lines in 2014). Bathroom in a 6 bed dorm could have been a bit more clean.

I had a really good time in Nanjing and I enjoyed the nights when I stayed in fuzimiao. There is this small river next to the hostel and you can just relax with some food and beer on the river terrace and enjoy your time in Nanjing.

Some staff nice, others not very helpful. Or got wrong information about easy things... The room is nice and big, but a socket and a bedlight should be there with 8 people in the room (now light stays on till last one gets in) and locker should also be there in a hostel! 2 missing things in a long lasting hostel..... charged my mobile in the middle of the room, luckily it was still there in the morning (people left while I was still sleeping). Guess I should have charged elsewhere.

A bit of a far walk from the subway, no individual lockers in the rooms, but otherwise a great hostel!
