if you are in the loft, see if you can pick where your bed is so that maybe you are closer or further away from the air-conditioner, depending on what you like.

It was very hard to find. They will need to put better instructions on their hostel sight. Also if they get have a relationship with taxi company will be an advantage for them. Have more tourist maps on sight, maps of the subway system will aso be good.

Good hostel but a little bit hard to find and definitely not in the most interesting part of the city. A bit far from the subway station too. But clean room equiped with heater.

Excellent hostel, affordable, comfortable and great value. The staff had excellent English and were very helpful. The communal areas are fantastic and the internet connection is excellent.

The rooms are clean, beds comfortable, common areas nice. Location is average, unless you are up for the nightclubs (1912 district) there's just the Presidential Palace. Quiet location, ten minutes to the metro. Staff polite but not helpful with repairs or planning. Shower door was gone & drain was clogged, fixed it myself. 13 hours later (22:30?!) he came to check, leaving the floor I had cleaned flooded & filled with dirty shoeprints. Food was just ok, sandwiches not as described, good coffee.

Lovely ambience in this hostel with a great communal area - and the staff are as unfriendly as the reviews say! Rooms are nice with good character.

It was a reasonable place, but for the money, it was lacking charecter, service, and atmosphere that the money should bring. Everything was ok. The bathrooms smell due to plumbing, but I find this in every hostel in China. The common room closes at 12 and they drive you out of there!

Not overly impressed with this one. The location was good. Cleanliness was an issue. We had 8 guys in the room sharing a bathroom, which isn't bad, but that bathroom didn't get cleaned. It was perpetually moist and there wasn't any toilet paper. The rooms had some water damage/what looked like mold, so wasn't that great. No WiFi in the rooms, which sucked. Not a great place, but for the location. If you don't mind a mess, it's worth it, I probably wouldn't go back though.

One of the cleanest hostels I've ever been to in China. The atmosphere in the common area was very relaxed with nice decoration and soft music playing in the background. I have to say that the staff doesn’t come off as the most welcoming but they speak excellent English and can probably help you out with anything you need to find out.

between the Jasmine and Nanjing Time, (the 2 top-rated hostels in nanjing), the Jasmine is 5 rmb cheaper for the bunk-beds, but Time offers a YHA discount and also accepts Union Pay (china only) debit cards. Jasmine has a university in the vicinity, whilst Time has a supermarkt (500m) nearby. Jasmine has a good restaurant down its alley, and Time has a super cheap (3.5rmb) wanton restaurant close by. But Time has nice clean ensuite toilets and a very cosy and friendly lounge. 55-45 for Time.

Decent hostel- the girl at the front was not friendly - thought it was a language barrier at first but it ended up being clear that it wasn't. Bit of a walk from the metro but not too bad.

While the hostel was reasonably clean and looked good, the staff was very rude and seemed that they thought it was a pain in the ass to help you with something. Also, they were rude to their other staff. No directions provided and tough to find. Food & beds were good though.

Great location. About 5 min walk to the Presidential Palace and 5-10 min to bar street and the metro. Comfortable rooms and lounge area. Small complaints like more variety of breakfast choices and put some tp in the bathrooms (I guess its like this all over China). I would stay here again for sure if for no other reason than the location and price.

The lounge was very nice, the food was good, and the staff very helpful. Yet the room was very very cold at this time, because the windows were very old. There was a strong odour from the bathroom. I got better rooms for a much lower price at other places in Nanjing and Shanghai.

The main lodge area was a little small but turned out to be great for meeting people: noisy and exciting in the evenings, calm and good for reading during the day. Hostel is right off Changjiang St and five minutes from the subway, so it's easy to get to all of the typical attractions. Staff were friendly, and the place well-kept. Stayed in the loft - got a little chilly at night. I came during an unusual cold snap and the AC wasn't quite enough to cover it. But otherwise very cool digs.
