I do really like it here and thought I wouldn't return yet long story short I found myself back in Ireland and so had another chance. Wifi, parking, good beds and showers and perfect location. Everything was pretty Excellent as usual with the only criticism being the breakfast rooms and kitchen could have done with the once over, but as we were almost the only people in this was I dare say a small oversight. Sorry to hear you had been unwell my dear, see you perhaps in a few months. James

We loved our visit. The staff were friendly and helpful. Only concern was a broken bathroom door handle and strange hot water in both rooms. Not a huge problem for just an overnight.

While it was convenient and good enough for simple work, the wifi was terribly slow on our last visit.

Thanks so much for making our stay so pleasant, the chat at breakfast was lovely and the advice about where to eat was spot on. My sisters and I only stayed one night but would loved to have been able to stay longer - next time!!

Room wasnt ready when we arrived but we were given another one immediately. Really enjoyed our stay here. There's a great big living room area with plenty of sofas to chill out on.

I like staying here as a base when working in the region. Ali and the owners are wonderful, very welcoming and accommodating. The included Breakfast is excellent and the rooms very good. The only thing missing from them are lockers but as the clientele is older then your average hostel and the place is out in the country this isnt too bad. It is the perfect base to explore the Boyne Valley from. Sorry it will be my last visit :( Cheers! James from Australia!

I loved this place. Great energy lots of natural light with a fabulous sunroom and central courtyard. Rooms have everything you need. Comfortable bed and pillows with warm quilt. Nice and close to Newgrange visitor centre and great place to base yourself if you have a car and exploring meath. Great food in slane and nearby towns. Great value for money. Hot water took a while to heat up but when it did nice shower. highly recommend staying here.

This is a great Hostel. Not for party animals but you are literally across the road from Newgrange and in a great place to explore the Boyne Valley. Breakfast is great... but needs to start at 7am not 8am... I usually leave before then and miss out :( Rooms and en-suites are very good and clean. Only thing missing are lockers. Comfortable and pleasant place to stay!

Wasn't very happy, beds were on castor wheels so they skidded all over thie floor. the other residents were extremely noisy. i didn't get to sleep until 4:30am. the communal toilet was filthy

I had an ensuite room. If there is a hostel aspect to the place, I did not check on that. The room I had was quite nice and had everything I needed. Since I was in the back, it took a while to get hot water, but so what? I could not get any wi-fi, but they had 2 computers set up, so that met my needs. Likewise breakfast was ok. My first night was perfect, but the 2nd night had a bunch of high school age kids running around. There, I could really notice the noise from outside of my room.

Comfortable and very affordable accomodation, more like a guest house than a hostel.

This hostel was very clean, the staff was very friendly and the continental breakfast was great. Just next door to the Newgrange Visitors Center, which was convenient, since that was the reason for our stay.
