Niras is a great place to stay. Location is great, being so close to everything. Wifi worked great all around the hostel, and the staff are very friendly, and helpful. The rooms are cleaned daily, and the hostel itself is nice and clean. Plus they have a great coffee shop downstairs with some great Thai milk ice teas :)

The best hostel I've been in Thailand so far. Good location : close to Kahosan rd and to the taxi-boat. Stayed almost a week in total with my girlfriend and we really enjoyed all the very kind staff. When you come in a city like Bangkok you definitly need a reliable help and that's what you are offered at Niras Bankoc Cultural Hostel (among plenty of other things). Thanks again guys !

There seemed to be a limit to how willing the staff was to provide help. If someone needs an extra blanket, they should be able to get one. And, I definitely didn't there. However, they were extremely nice and patient and always able to offer recommendations. Sometimes, the crowd that came into the Hostel were of the uncleanly backpacker group and the common room smelled putrid due to their sweaty bags filling it up. It would have been a good idea to have a separate room for people's bags

This was legit the best hostel I've ever stayed in. Beautiful, clean, modern, and spacious. Decent price for a dorm in Bangkok, and you dont feel like you'll get bed bugs or diseases from the toilets! The staff are beyond helpful. They endured ten minutes of abuse from a crooked cab driver for me on the phone on my way to the hostel. They then greeted me with a smile and a glass of water. Amazing place. I'll be recommending this place to anyone that says they're going to Bangkok!

I loved the feel and atmosphere of the hostel. The staff were friendly and helpful. No problem finding the place. You get your own closet to look up your suitcase or backpack, free wifi, provide towels and the lobby is a coffee shop that offers breakfast. There is a fantastic local pad-Thai place literally across the street. The King's palace is 15 minutes walk away as well as Khao San road.

Very friendly staff, excellent espresso drinks and basic but inexpensive "breakfast," which only includes eggs and toast, with no other food offerings. Also, there are multiple showers, sinks and toilets throughout the guest house, so I appreciated never having to wait to use them when getting ready each morning. I would return if I pass through Bangkok again! cheers

I was very impressed when I arrived at Niras Bangcoc. The people were super friendly and the atmosphere was awesome....classic dark wood interiors and furniture and very nice bathrooms. It felt like going down the hall to the bathroom in your own house...not some scuzzy dorm. Kudos! The only problem was a misunderstanding about changing rooms during which the staff moved my bags from my locker without my knowledge. The manager was very apologetic and event compensated me. Awesome!

I had a really nice time in this hostel! The staff is very helpful and friendly and the hostel is decorated very nicely. It is clean and you feel at home straight away here. Even though the taxi drivers had some troubles to find the hostel, it was perfectly located in the old center of Bangkok so you could walk to the main attractions or take a cheap tuktuk.

The Staff and character were amazing! The hostel itself was too small, and the seating in the downstairs could not accommodate everyone all the time. The rooms upstairs were cramped, and the AC would not work. I spent the night sweating, and when I wished to escape the room I had nowhere to sit downstairs. The staff were extremely friendly. The rooms were clean, and everyone I met was positive. In a city that is so cramped and busy, it is just hard to come home to a place that is even smaller.

A very good hostel. Clean and comfortable. The location is ideal; within walking distance from the biggest sights, Chinatown and Khao San road, but still nice and quiet. The boys at the reception were so cute and helpful I wish I could have brought them home as a souvenir!

Easily the best dorm I've ever stayed in, and the staff are so fantastic. Charming building with great chill-out spaces, sparkling clean bathrooms and comfy beds. Lots of great street food right across the road every night. Highly recommended!
