The staff is excellent, really friendly and helpful. This place has a really nice atmosphere, just suitable for Bangkok. Its clean, and has a nice small coffee room at the entrance. Internet is free, but sometimes slow for skype. All in all, a place with a special spirit...

I loved this hostel! As a first timer to Thailand this was my first stop so I wanted somewhere I could be comfortable and get over my jet lag as well as being close to the main city. So glad I chose this hostel from the beginning the staff were friendly and helpful. The dorm room was clean and the beds were very comfortable! I was provided with a locker straight away. The coffee shop downstairs was a great place to meet other travellers an chill out an have a chat with a iced drink.

Nice big dorm room, great having your own locker and the bathrooms were very clean. The cover on the bed wasnt very nice, would have preferred softer covers as they felt horrible on my skin - small negative but everything else was great! Staff really friendly and helpful - the sleeping night security guard wasn't too alert but the hostel felt very safe without him!

Really nice place, helpful staff. It's not very social though, and therefore it's not the place to meet other people

Could seem a bit pricy in comparison with some other places in the vecinity of KaoSan Rd, but this place is fautless, really clean and with the most awesome matresses I have ever seen in a hostel. Good place to met people. Street food at the hostel's door, waliking distance to many interesting places. Banks at reception is the nicest guy ever :)

I stayed twice at Niras Bankoc Cultural Hostel until now (3 and 5 days each) and will definitely stay there again, when I will visit Bangkok next time. The staff is very kind and helpful. Their English is very good. Prostitution will not be tolerated. The little restaurant/café is very nice to have some coffee while planning the day/night. There are several "street kitchens" and interesting sites arround that place. When I think about Bangkok I think about the Niras. 100% recommendation!!!

I can't say anything bad about the hostel. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the rooms cozy. This hostel provided a sheltered oasis for me in the crazyness of Bangkok

We only had a very short stay at this hostel, checking in late at night and leaving early in the morning. But the stay was comfortable and the security guard (the only staff we met) was very nice and helpful.

A really good hostel, a really awesome place to stay. 10 minutes walk to Khao san Road and 5 minutes to the Grand Palace. you can get breakfast here, get beer, the lot. We arrived early at 4 am and the night shift guard let us sleep on the sofa in the movie room. Such a well managed place with good staff.

Niras was in a good location near some bars (short cab ride from the red light district). It was also within walking distance of many of the sights around Bangkok, although my friends and I got very lost and ended up getting a tuk tuk! haha The beds were comfy, large storage lockers, and clean bathrooms. The BEST restaurant in all of Thailand is across the street! They are known for their great pad thai, and came highly recommended by all the locals.

Really lovely hostel - stayed in both the dorm and private room and both were great. Great location - close enough to Khao San Rd but not too close. Staff friendly and helpful.

Hard to find for the first time as tuk tuk or taxi doesnt know where it is even in very central. 25 min to metro or bst by walk - 15 min to khoa san road. Toilet can be dirty as they dont clean it very often (the carpet for the bathroom on 1st first was stained and they didnt change it but just changed it upside down). However, good character and not so far to main attractions.
