Excellent hostel! facilities are very good, especially bathroom and bedroom. only thing need to change batter is, the door is little bit noisy when you open or close it every time. its quite good to walk to Khao San road from Niras~

Had a great time staying here - was my first stop in Thailand and the first time travelling on my own and I didn't really spend time without people. There's a lounge to hang out in and the staff are really great. - Would definitely recommend it!! It's in a good location too - easy to get to the temples and stuff and 15 mins walk to the crazyness of Koh San Road!!

My friend and I had a great stay at Niras Bankoc Hostel. The room was really nice, clean, and comfortable. The staff is the most importatnt to me though. They were incredibly helpful and were genuinely interested in quality of our Thailand experience. The staff was accomadating even though we arrived incredibly early after taking the night bus and it really made our time in Bangkok go much smoother. Thanks for everything!

Thank you Niras Bangkok Hostel for the wonderful stay. I really enjoyed my time with you - you realy keep the hostel and its facilities in good shape. I appreciate all the little details: from providing shampoo and soap in the showers to making sure quiet hours are observed. Great stay and will definately come again when I am in Bangkok next!

Great place to stay, a bit pricy, but you get what you pay for!, huge lockers (for you big backpack), very clean, very nice style, very nice staff, good location inbetween khao san rd and the next skytrain (both about 25 min walk), great coffee in their cafe, wifi is a bit slow (but if you consider that you have to pay extra almost everywhere around khao san... ), fast laundry service (4 hours only) for 150b,and they let me cancel my 2.reservation eventhough it was closer than the 5 days! Thanks!

Excellent hostel, staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Only negative is ground floor room has a bathroom/toilet used by staff as well so can be occupied and unclean at times. Ground floor room is also next to the kitchen so it can be noisy. Otherwise brilliant stay and very sociable.

The hostel is located in a quieter part of town and still in walking distance to some of the main attractions (Grand Palace is about 10 min. away). The rooms are basic (stayed in a dorm) but lovely decorated as is the hostel itself. The staff is amazing, always helpful and friendly. I would definitly stay there again!

Hmm... We came from a very good hostel in Krabi and some resorts earlier on so maybe my judgement is a bit clouded. I think the dorm was very dark, beds very hard, blankets and pillow very low quality. The lockers were big but with a very bad lock. Worst of all the staff was very bad at speaking english. The nightshift didn't understand that i wanted another blanket during the night?! I simply couldn't get him to understand. But for the price this is maybe what you would expect in most cases.

My overall rating for this property could have been "Very good" if it wouldn't have been for the key speech: "You have to pay now" every single time we were at the reception. You have to pay upfront for every little thing and this really pissed me off. When you're in a boutique hotel business with 99% of guest being foreigners, I really don't think that having your guests not paying for services is a concern. It's especially this reason that I would not go back to this place.

The location is perfect ! The staff is perfect ! the staff is very nice. Have security at night. It is very clean. The atmosphere is perfect! For me, it is the best hostel ! The breakfast is very good too. It is very near the subway, very near everything. You can go walking to Khao San Road. And it is a very calm place, don't have the noisy of Khao San Road. It is perfect !!

Staff was so great and even helped us get a taxi to the weekend market when a festival was on an we couldn't seem to get one ourselves. Lockers in rooms are roomy and everything was clean. Location was in a nice area walking distance to the grand palace and is a nice alternative to the Khao San road scene if you need a bit of a break from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok. Would definetly stay again.

Fantastic hostel. Nice quiet area. Staff give you directions to places in Thai which helps navigate Bangkok tremendously. Will definitely be back.

A stellar hostel. The staff are helpful, and the facilities are very clean. A few things kept it from being a perfect experience, including several of the shower stalls having some broken equipment, beds being a bit spartan for my tastes, and the staff's English not as good as I'd hoped. Still, an amazing stay at a very nice hostel, would recommend for any Bangkok traveler.

great hostel. its decor has a very cool old asian style but modern. the coffee shop on the ground floor is great too. the location is right in the middle of the old city, in a pretty quiet area. it's also a 10 minute taxi ride to the new city. my wife and i got sick while in bangkok and the staff were very accommodating and helpful. they also helped us get taxis, give them directions and offer great suggestions for day trips. will stay here next time in bangkok.

A wonderful place to stay! The staff were welcoming, friendly, and helpful, even providing suggestions for day trips and translation services. The dorms were a comfortable size, the private rooms were pristine, and the overall atmosphere situated within a coffee shop allowed for a cool and refreshing place to mingle with fellow travelers. If you're looking to enjoy the old city, this location is perfect. Niras Bankoc Cultural Hostel helped make our experience memorable. Highly recommended!

This is a great hostel for those looking for a clean, relatively quiet place to stay next to many of the major attractions in Bangkok. If you're looking for a party hostel, the options closer to Khao San Road or Sukhumvit may be better, but if you're looking for a well-located, clean place to stay that is well-located, this is a great option.
