Great hostel with a great bar, food and friendly staff. The bar means that you will may spend more than usual in a hostel but it is a good environment to socialise and non-guests do come to drink and eat here too (no issue with security). A convenient location in Tokyo is difficult given its size but this is pretty decent.
BY FAR one of the best Hostels i'v ever stayed in. Extremly friendly staff (you even get greeted by your nickname!), cool atmosphere, great rooms, clean bathrooms, WIFI on every floor and a bar. What do you want more? And all that just 15min walking from Sensoji-Shrine in Asakusa! If I come back to Tokyo, I definitely gonna stay there again!
This hostel was amazing. It was honestly the best place I've ever stayed in. It's location is only 3 mins away from 2 subway lines and it's conviently near Asakasa. The food was excellent and reasonably priced! I loved my stay there, I'll def book it anytime I'm in Tokyo! Thanks Nui!
Great hostel. Helpful and friendly staff. Card key access to sleeping areas, stairway, and elevator would make security perfect. Suggest individual reading lights, headboards on bunks, and a small shelf at each bed. Shower rooms could use additional clothes and towel hooks. Great bar and food area. Very nice kitchen and laundry. No house slippers was a surprise but not a problem. I WILL DEFINITELY STAY AGAIN. A+++. WELL DONE.
we loved this hostel! the atmosphere was great and the kitchen was amazing! thanks nui. for a great stay!
One of the better hostels I have stayed (in my life). Nice, comfortable dorms with good beds and a personal locker. The staff is friendly and helpful, but one of the best things about NUI is the atmosphere in the bar. Very relaxed with foreigners and Japanese mixing up when enjoying a drink.
It is a really nice Hostel with very helpful staff. Everything we needed was fantastic! We really enjoyed our stay!

Cool, trendy vibe to this hostel. I stayed in an 8 bed mixed dorm for 5 nights with no complaints except that with all the suitcases it got very crowded (but this is Japan, small rooms are to be expected). Very clean! They sell espresso coffee in the morning - I exploited this every day, best coffee I've had in Japan. Cheap alcoholic drinks and tasty food, bar makes it easy to socialise. Staff are friendly and helpful. Good kitchen facilities too.
I like that they have phone chargers to lend out!
Great place to stay. A little bit of a trip from the main areas but if you are staying around this area then this is definitely a great choice.
The rooms are very small, but that's just Tokyo. They have a left luggage room, but it didn't appear to be locked (in fact we placed our luggage there without any supervision from the staff). The risk of theft may be tiny in Japan, but it would still be nice to think that our stuff is secure while we were out and about in the city. The staff are helpful, but were a little sketchy with a map they drew for a local ramen place; we eventually found it on the other side of the street.
I love this place!! So comfortable, laid-back and all the staff is friendly and cool.I love the fact that it's attached to bar, and all the people that hang out there are so awesome! I can't wait to be back again. :)
One of the best hostels I've ever seen. Cleanliness was top notch. Full facilities. But the real reason to stay here is the gorgeous bar. Beautifully designed, reasonable priced and usually busy. Easily the standout Tokyo hostel.
A bit out of the Center located in Asakusa, this newly opened Hostel is located in a former Garage. It's just a few meters away from the Oedo-Metro Line and is so very well located if you plan to make a tour through Tokyo. Akihabara can be reached by metro within 10min. Roppongi, Shibuya or Shinjuku within 30min. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The showers and toilets are very clean, the beds comfortable and if you want to get to now new people the its just perfect.
Really funky hostel with a 'cool' vibe. Bar is great and facilities are clean and modern. Staff were friendly but not as helpful as I have found other hostels. Also a bit of a lack of tourist friendly suggestions and help e.g. they had run out of Tokyo maps in English when I arrived. Rooms were fine - but noticed that people tended to leave the doors open/unlocked. Didn't feel unsafe but meant the noise really travelled in.
My only concern was that the luggage room wasn't locked. I had a very enjoyable stay - the staff are helpful and the atmosphere is relaxed and cheerful.
I had a good experience at Nui. I stayed in the all girls dorm on the 5th floor with my travel companions. It can get noisy from the bar down in the first floor at night if ppl are outside talking. Restrooms and bathrooms are shared/coed/cleaned but may get crowded during peak hrs. Overall, I don't have any major issues with Nui. Staff are friendly/helpful/speak adequate English. Location is safe (not ghetto and ok to come home late at night) and near train station. Check-in is quick.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Nui Hostel. It has an amazing atmosphere if you want to meet people from around the world. As well it is very clean. I stayed in a room for 8 and it was nice, the beds are sturdy and you have blinds to give you privacy. Can't think of anything bad to say about this hostel.
