I like how warm they welcome you at the hostel! Cool staff. I wish the breakfast would be more than pancakes and cereals. But it's cool!

Oasis Downtown is the BEST place to stay in Vallarta. It's located in the middle of everything, you can walk everywhere and the staff is awesome! The rooms are spacious, even if you choose the private one or one of the dorms. Rooms and bathrooms are cleaned every day, linen and breakfast are included - this place provides you with everything you will ever need. Fernando is the best host you can ask for, he makes your stay unforgettable! SKÅÅÅÅÅÅÅL :D

Best location ever! One block to beach and malecon, right next to Guadalupe Church. Safe and fun, very relaxing. I spent almost every night on the rooftop patio watching the sun set with a cold beer in hand. This was my first hostel trip and I would go back again no questions asked. Fernando and Guillermo(sp) are awesome.

Had an absolute blast staying at Oasis Downtown. The BEST possible location, right in the heart of the action, and there is a bus stop right out the front door. All this is good, but it is the staff and vibe of the hostel that really make it. Fernando was absolutely terrific, always upbeat, extremely helpful, and just all round top bloke! Really cool hostel, had an absolute blast. Plus can't forget the pancakes for breakfast, thanks again!

Oasis was great - awesome rooftop patio right next to the cathedral (not sure why they don't advertise that?). Right in the heart of downtown Puerto Vallarta - you can walk everywhere. Pancakes in the morning are a sweet bonus! We went right before spring break so it was very laid back and quiet - but sounds like it's more of a party scene during spring break.

You can't beat this location. It's right in the center of all the action and very close to public transportation as well as the beach. The staff let me know all the good places to go and was very friendly. They even give you a free beer at check-in. Fernando and Guillermo were excellent hosts. If you like a fun, younger crowd, this is definitely the hostel for you. I stayed 5 nights and will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Puerto Vallarta. Thanks again Oasis!

Great location right in downtown vallarta, walked everywhere. Great Price. Clean. Great option for travelers. Too much fun!

The location is extraordinary, it is right near all of the attractions that a person would want to see while visiting Vallarta. The staff are amazing. Fernando was friendly and was genuinely interested in everyone having a good time. The facilities are clean and well kept.

Hostel owners and personal taxi drivers haha! Thanks gents for your hospitality. Enjoy the yummy liquid leftovers but not all at once!

Great place to stay - right in the heart of downtown Puerto Vallarta. Staff is very nice, it's very clean, and has a beautiful rooftop patio that overlooks the city with some beautiful views. My ONLY complaint is that because it's right next to the church, I woke up every hour on the hour to the sound of Ave Maria being played off-tune in church bells. Even in my drunken state I still managed to wake up each hour! So, if you're a solid sleeper, you'll be fine. If you're not, good luck!

We had a great time, met really cool people from all over the world! would definately come back. Wi-Fi signal a bit low but enough to check mail of fb. Very clean place.

I loved every minute of my stay at Oasis. The staff is amazing and fun, the atmosphere is laid back and perfect for vacation. As a woman traveling alone for the first time, I was nervous, but I felt totally welcomed and at ease within hours. I'll be back for sure!

Oasis Hostel Downtown is in the heart of Puerto Vallarta. Nothing is out of walking distance. Transport to and from the hostel from the airport was cheap and easy. Hostel staff is very laid back and helpful. They help facilitate the community by taking everyone out. Guillermo and his crew have the hookup around town. Stick with this place and you're guaranteed to have a blast.

I enjoyed my stay in PV. This hostel is in a great, central location that is close to the beach as well as the nightlife. Secure building in a safe environment. Rooftop panoramic ocean view. Very relaxed setting while I was there. Wifi works great as well. The only thing I would recommend to this place is that they initiate some sort of activities calander with pub crawls and the like.

I absolutely LOVE Oasis! I had previously stayed at the original hostel which is a little further from town so me and my friends thought we'd give the new one a try. The staff is so incredibly friendly and helpful, it's right next to the beach, clubs, and lots of great restaurants. One of the most affordable hostels I've ever stayed at, and they even gave us a partial refund when we had to leave early but had already used the facilities all day. I give it an A++

Our stay was positive despite a crazed Canadian. Guillermo, who runs the hostel, is an interesting character-- he prides himself on his reputation as a great partier, and knowing him in Puerto Vallarta will help you get into the more exclusive clubs.
