This has to be the best hostel I've ever stayed in, and I've stayed in a few! The best possible location to everything, buses outside the hostel to everything else, pancakes, cereal and coffee for breakfast, amazing rooftop patio and a even a beer on arrival! But the best part of this hostel is the company - even though there was only 6 guests when we were there we became an eccentric family, and the manager Fernando is just awesome! Didn't ever want to leave. Do yourself a favour and stay here!
Fernando and the other staff were very good hosts. You can' t beat the location. The hostel is located directly across the street from City Hall and next to the church. The view from the rooftop terrace is amazing. You can see the entire city and bay. Although there is no air conditioning, with the ceiling fans and a fan in the dorm I found my sleeping bag came in handy. While there I met numerous other travelers from every corner of the planet. I'll definitely stay there again.
Enjoyed my stay at Oasis Hostel. I'll definitely be returning on my next trip to pv!
Excellent stay! Great location and Fernando and Juan are awesome dudes!
We had a really good stay here! The 'warm' welcome with a nice cold beer was a good start. Staff was friendly and our twin room was clean and cozy.
The hostel is in a very noisy area, at a very busy street, lots of heavy traffic and construction work. The terrace is nice and great view form the top, but not very relaxing with the crazy noise at all. Location is great. I was the only guest in the hostel due to low season and there was no breakfast when I was there. My private room resembled more a hospital room, but it was clean as the rest of the hostel. Fernando was at the reception at nights and was nice to talk to, he is a good guy.
I arrived at 7 in the morning. They gave me the chance to get some rest before i had to check in and everything, so that was really nice. The guys who where at the desk seemed real party people, so I thought i arrived in a party hostel. It was very quite though, shower, towels, fans all ok. It wasn't very busy at the time of my stay, It was just me and an other person in the dorm. All was oke, nice location for the price you pay.
Great hostel, lovely people, top location. Everything I hoped for and more!
Fernando is a great guy and very helpful. The welcome cerveza is greatly appreciated!
Our stay was perfect, but there was a little annoying thing I´d like the hostel to correct, as they are a great hostel. In the last day we wanted to leave our luggage there for a couple of haours before taking our bus and the woman in the desk asked 20 pesos for that. No hostel charges such a service so i´d like the hostel to reconsider if it´s worth for them to do so.
The place is nice - the tenants weren't there while we stayed at the Oasis Hostel. We found the people rude, not helpful at all (not able to help us book excursions or not really helping out to find good restaurants).
