Great hostel. The staff really makes this place a wonderful oasis from beach and bar hopping. Fun bar nights, located off the downtown a bit so a little quiter. Overall I spent three weeks here I enjoyed PV so much. Made to order pancakes are great with a cruda. I havent been to many hostels with a fresh made breakfast like that. Ask for chef Juan! Salsa lessons available upon request too.

This Oasis is outside of town on the main by-pass so there is a lot of traffic noise (all day and night.). However, being surrounded by hills provides beautiful views. The work exchanger staff were.very friendly.

Great location. The staff are friendly, cool, and willing to help you out to have as good time as possible. AND there is a bike you can use to trek around the city!!! I had a great time. Highly recommended.

I cant say enough about this hostel. Its right in the middle of the PV action, and yet it provides a safe and very fun experience for all. The owner also runs the other Oasis Hostel if you are looking for something further from the main street. He goes way beyond to ensure everyone is enjoying their stay. He organizes outtings for both hostels and only charges enough to cover expenses. I'm in my late forties, and left feeling 20 again!

Stayed here twice, loved it! Everyone's very friendly, the female dorm & bathroom were great and the entire place was clean, lovely, and incredibly cozy. Will absolutely stay here again next time I'm in Puerto Vallarta.

You'll have a hard time see who are working there and who are guests because of all the friendliness, genuine care etc. The talks around the reception table are of the very illuminating kind, the whole atmosphere is one of humanity and decency. For some reason one wants to do good when being there. I've been to numerous hostels in Europe and South America, and this one is my favorite so far. By far!

I stayed at both this and the downtown Oasis hostel and really loved them both. Guierllmo's mission in life is to make sure his guests have fun, and he, Juan, Liam, and Fernando are really good at it! There are occasional parties at the downtown hostel, after which the crew might introduce you to a local bar for some pool and/or live music, salsa dancing or clubbing. I did slightly prefer this original Oasis, it's a bit quieter and only about a 20 min walk to downtown. Both are clean & lovely.

A nice hostel. I would stay there again. The staff is a bit over the top protecting the kitchen. The head man is very helpful but be careful what you say. Only one cup of coffee in the morning.! Good value.

One of my favorite hostels in the world without a doubt! Very few manage to make you feel truly at home, but somehow Oasis does. Clean, spacious, hot water, great pancake breakfast. Just above the old town means you're not constantly surrounded by tourists, but is still an easy walk to the beach. Always something fun going on, whether a trip to the beach or a night out at the best bars.... the only danger I've encountered in PV is not being able to leave! I'll be back for new years! Thanks G!

Oasis Hostel was a great place to stay for the price. The place is beautiful so the name suits it, and the staff is friendly too.

A bit too far away. The room was uncomfortably hot even with a fan. Would stay closer to town if we went back. Staff were friendly.

Situated in the heart of an authentic Mexican neighborhood, Oasis Hostel is a paradise of calm for any traveler wishing to get an authentic taste of the Pacific coast Mexican life. As soon as you arrive, you're made to feel welcome in the hostel, which feels more like a 2nd home than a hostel. Rooms are spacious, airy, and secure. The location is perfect with the downtown bar and restaurant scene just 10 minute walk away, and the beach 15 minutes. Only warning: it's hard to leave!

What a great place to stay, a true Oasis. We were glad to be a few steps away from the fun and frolics of the downtown area. This hostel is one of the best we have stayed at, great friendly staff, delicious breakfast, all amenities, bikes and PERFECT local tips. And to top it off, this place is gay friendly, environmentally minded and generally committed to making the world a better, fairer place. I highly recommend this hostal to anyone looking for a memorable stay in Vallarta. thanks! xx

My third time here. Definitely the best place to stay in PV. Guillermo and staff always steer you in the right direction, be it zip lining, boat tours, a night on the town, and the best places to eat. The hostel is always full of good, friendly, interesting people, (including staff) so It's easy to make good friends here. Had 3 very memorable stays, and will have many more.

great place to stay, its the people that work there that make the experience so much better. After 5 hours in the plane then lugging our gear around on a sweaty mexican bus, we were welcome by the most friendliest manager and a super cold beer to take the edge off. Also dont listen to the media on travelling to mexico, it was completely safe and most of the people were very friendly. I feel more unsafe on a night train in sydney. Oasis hostel, best atmosphere in a hostel you will ever get.
