This was my second trip through Brasov and this is my favorite hostel so far. The locals that run the place are incredibly friendly and helpful. There wasnt much going on at the hostel itself, but for the time of year that I stayed (NOV), it's expected. It's about a 10 minute walk to the center of town, but it's also the closest hostel that I've found to the area. Very chill. Very laid back. Recommended for a quite trip through the medieval city. Very far walk from train station. Map shows wrong location, follow address! Twin private nice, clean room. Even included a flat screen TV! Nice owners, clean bathroom and nice common room. This is a new hostel and requires more attention to detail to create a better atmosphere and homely feel i.e. lockers for better safety, mirrors in rooms, hairdryers on deposit etc.
It was very quiet while I was there so it was especially lacking atmosphere but staff are friendly & keen. I think this hostel has a lot of potential but needs more effort put into it to stand out from other hostels. Ok hostel no locks on the doors and the room we stayed in at ground level was damp and cold due to site works outside. Couple who lived there watched the TV which was in romanian with no regard to customers who paid for the rooms and spoke english. lady who ran the place was nice however and helpful. The staff is friendly and the location is good for the price. They don't have lockers yet, but they said they had ordered them. A lot of things get stolen out of the fridge, but maybe we just had a bad group staying in the hostel at the time. This is a really good hostel! It is clean, in a good location and very cheap! All of the staff are really friendly and helpful especially Jo who will go out of her way to help people and to give them advice on places to visit etc. I would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone planning to visit Brasov.This is a really good hostel! Do not stay here! Arrived at 5am knowing our room would not be ready, that's normal, but had to sit in cold kitchen for hours waiting as they sold our promised floor space in the common rooms. The staff kept entering our private double room when we were out. Once to move clothes we had rinsed out into a common area which was filled with people smoking, (had to rewash), and then to put in a set of drawers which they dumped on my bed and left the door wide open!Do not stay here!
