Old Town Brasov Hostel Reviews

They were remodeling the hostel and there were dust and bugs everywhere. We got serious bugs bites. The room was dirty and it seemed as if one pipe under the shower was broken because there was always water on the bathroom floor. We asked one member of the staff to call for a taxi. He asked us to pay the taxi service in advance and then he took part of the payment for himself before handling the money to the taxi the driver.

Great place to stay, convenient for everything in the old town and an easy bus ride from the train station. It had everything I look for in a hostel, hot water, wifi, lockers, kitchen with fridge and good security. Definitely recommended.

good place to stay and good restaurant near on the small place, but informations given to take the bus are false, and I lose one day trip.. I would like that the staff fix time to light of in the dorm.; because at 1 Am in the morning, it's not normal 2 people look internet and speaking.. and the norming, at 8 .; we have not right to open windows..

Good price and nice hostel. There is a warm, homely feel about OLD TOWN BRASOV hostel.They renovated and everything is fresh and clean.The staff was helpful and very kind. I really liked that place!Recommended

All the basic requirements were ok. Good lockers, occasional delays with warm water.. Had to wake up the staff a couple of times. Situated a bit off the center but in a nice area. Good value for the price.

This hostel was under construction when I showed up. I had not been notified and the entrances and top floor were destroyed with construction equipment and debit everywhere.. the stands was very kind however and my actual room was decently clean and had a hot shower. For the price, when not under construction this is probably a seven place to stay but does not have much character.

The staff is very helpful and friendly, especially the receptionist. She helped us a lot with directions, tips, and booking tours and other hostels. She was the best hostess we had in Romania. The hostel is not exactly in the Old Town, but a few hundred meters, easily walkable. When we stayed, the hostel was under renovation.Currently there were only one toilet, which got dirty at a few times.

The only things that I did not like were the following: 1. Very cold for 2 of the three days/nights !! 2. The Manager should make breakfast at 08.00. The 1st morning he came at 09.00.HRS., only after I telephoned him from the hostel. On the morning of my departure, I intended to leave at around 09.00. The Manager appeared at 08.20., and said that he would make the breakfast very soon. By 09.00.HRS. nothing had happened. 3. Some people were in the hostel who were not guest. Not good !!!!

Very good hostel! Perfect location in the old town of brasov. The staff organize a trip for us wich was simply perfect!

Staff are somwhat helpful but not as enthusiastic as their description in hostelworld. The shower was cold with maybe 5 seconds being lukewarm and the bathroom isn't the best design (as most in Europe). Instructions to get to hostel from train station are great and the Wifi worked fine. Ok for an overnight stay.

There is no key for opening the door and no rocker. Second floor of the bed is too high and no bar so little bit dangerous. I just like the price.

The Hostel is very small and the guys who are responsible for everything live inside the hostel too. The Rooms are quiet clean but the facilities and the kitchen is quiet dirtyl. The staff is not doing more than necessary and the free breakfast is a joke. There are just two cerials and toast with marmelade. Maybe it was cause there a too less guests acutally. If they would care more about the cleanliness it would be a good hostel.
