A bit hard to find, as the street is not mentioned in the official Porto map, but a lovely place to be, equipped with everything a backpack-traveller needs. Ask staff for the latest events and places to go - you will surely not be disappointed.

perfect start in Porto with good recommendations. we had a lot of fun with the FREE walking tour, met a lot of people and ended in an excellent pub crawl. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Wild-Walkers-Porto/380793821930645

Excellent possibility to stay although it is hard to catch someone of the staff. Perhaps one should tell clients the times when someone one can talk to is at the reception....

The hostel had everything we needed. It was clean, spacious and welcoming. Particularly useful to have individual plug points next to the bed for charging phone overnight.

This was a very clean hostel and the beds were lovely and comfy. There wasn't a lamp on my bed but I was brought one when I asked. When the staff were there, they seemed very friendly and helpful. But I didn't really like arriving at the hostel to find that there was no one on reception. I had to text a number to get the door code and then found my name and a key- good job I had a mobile with me. The location is fantastic and the hostel was exceptional value for money.

I enjoyed my stay at Oporto City Hostel to the fullest. The staff was really nice, the rooms were also really good and the location was excellent, close to a train station and just a few minutes away on foot from the downtown area . I'm glad I stayed there.

It is a very nice hostel, especially for the low price. Nice staff, clean kitchen, nice beds, only the bathrooms were too small, especially for tall people.

During rainy days hostel should start heating the rooms. Our clothes could not dry during night because of the cold and humidity. Also it would be great if receptionist pointed out to visitors some special events for the day in the city. Thank you.

Very kind desk people, accommodating and helpful when directions were difficult. Nice kitchen and common spaces, though it was REALLY cold. I guess Porto doesn't need heaters of something. Good place to meet others (common area + pub crawl + proximity to bars). Also we got attacked by spiders in the middle of the night (NOT bedbugs!), but I don't really know what they hostel could have done.
