Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and well-run. Good location. However a lumpy mattress and some noise between rooms slightly detracted from the experience. But overall a good place to base a stay.

The best hostel I have stayed at!! Bruno was a friendly and helpful face when I arrived and all the staff was helpful through out my stay. The nightly dinners (8 euro - great value) were delicious. Free internet/computer access, and cheap drinks are all pluses. The location is perfect too. Try to go to the Fado show on Saturday night with Maria - she was a great guide and very helpful and friendly. The show is small, but amazing. Overall great hostel!!

Hi, guys, location is very good, but the best asset of the hostel is, without any doubt, its staff, always kind and helpful beyond the duty. Congratulations for the choice of people working there!!!: Bruno, Henrique, Ana, and all the cleanliness staff whose names I regret not to know.

Hostel was clean and location was good. The dorm I stayed in was pretty small and half the time the keycard used to open the door didn't work! Also, it can get pretty noisy at night even though they ask you to limit the noise after 10.30. One thing I didn't like was that the doors in the dorms had large windows which let a lot of light in from the hallway.

Good hostel!, the common areas are nice and the staff is helpful. The only problem is the noise at night, and the wireless Internet never worked!. Pretty good bathrooms, but small dorms! (at least the ones on the 1st floor). If it was to return to Porto I would probably think about staying here again

I've landed in Porto Poets Hostel while I was searching for a flat. I needed cool character and they gave me it. I needed information and they helped me. I needed smiles and I find them there. I could spend three very comfortable days with a great company.

It was my first time staying at a hostel, and my first time traveling abroad by myself, so I was looking for a place that would fit my limited budget but also provide excellent security. Oporto Poets Hostel exceeded my expectations. The staff are amazing and really take care of you. They also plan daily fun activities which are all free, such as a walking tour of Oporto and concert night after dinner. I would definitely recommend this place.

Amazing place, feels like a house, not a hostel, friendly staff, free breakfast, the rooms were really nice, not steel bunk beds as one usually finds, proper wooden beds with comfortable thick sheets. I would definitely recommend it to friends.

It looks more like a house than a hostel, very clean, spacious kitchen and modern facilties. It´s pretty quiet, no party hostel.

I spent one night with a friend in Oporto Poets Hostel during the summer 2011 and I was delighted by this charming place. It is situated in the centre of Porto near the best-known parts of the city. Poets Hostel is a small quiet place with a tasteful decoration and the cleanliness is a very strong point of the hostel, which was recently renovated. I would recommend that place to all my friend.
