Booked double bed ensuite bathroom, got bunk beds no ensuite. It is 4 stations from central Oslo but the Oslo Pass does work out to here (on trains at least) so with trains every 30 mins and buses every 15 mins the location is OK.Booked double bed ensuite bathroom, got bunk beds no ensuite. As soon as I arrived the guy at the reception could not find my reservation; he however didn't say anything to me, he simply SOLVED IT! Fast and practical. Although I reserved a female dorm and ended up in a room with 3 guys, I know it was probably the best he could do, so I give tumbs ups to that.
Good stuff: clean, showers with privacy, sinks in the room, very good breakfast.
Bad stuff: a little far, they could explain on the website which kind of ticket to buy.As soon as I arrived the guy at the reception could not find my reservation; he however didn't say anything to me, he simply SOLVED IT! i'm impressed with the working staffs who prepared breakfast and served very quickly/actively. but don't understand why the hostel have only two copies of room key available for guests. it's really inconvenient for me because i must share the room-key with other guests in my room.i'm impressed with the working staffs who prepared breakfast and served very quickly/actively. but don't understand why the hostel have only two copies of room key available for guests. it's really inconvenient for me because i must share the room-key with other guests in my room....Close

15-20 mins out of town by bus, which is 39 NOK a time...even with 65 NOK daycards, you might still be better off getting a more expensive place closer in, if you can find something. Breakfast buffet is good, place in neat and clean, but aging and ill-equipped. Was mostly families & older people when I was there, not easy to meet people. The staff were not exactly rude, but almost... Security is lacking, & there are no lockers. Not awful by any means, but shouldn't be your 1st choice.15-20 mins out of town by bus, which is 39 NOK a time...even with 65 NOK daycards, you might still be better off getting a more expensive place closer in, if you can find something. Enjoyed our trip to Oslo after getting over the disappointment of finding out that although stated on YOUR confirmation, accomodation was to be a double bed with private facilities we arrived to find that our room was in fact bunk beds.
I am aware a hostel is different to a hotel however in any country a double bed is a bed on the same level for two persons!
I feel that the description, on YOUR website, of accomodation was misleading if not verging on a total lie.
Compensation please!Enjoyed our trip to Oslo after getting over the disappointment of finding out that although stated on YOUR confirmation, accomodation was to be a double bed with private facilities we arrived to find that our room was in fact bunk beds.
