Gorgeous buildings and location. Dorm room was big/spacious (only had to share with one other girl anyway) and had very few bugs, considering. There were tons of ants during the day, though. Dinners were delicious and cheap! Breakfast, not so much--I would've rather paid for a good one! Only downside was the maintenance crew hanging out in the hammock area (from 7-5) that always stopped talking and stared when I walked by--I didn't feel comfortable going down to read/relax when I wanted.

A really beautiful place in the middle of the jungle. The beds were very comfy and the hammocks great. No wifi though... It's also the other side of the main road from the sanctuary so you can only get there by bus. This is not such a big problem as they have a free minibus, but it does mean you are tied to their schedule. Also makes it difficult to eat other places in te evenings unless you get a taxi.

Wow...what a location, embedded in the rainforest. On the opposite side of the roundabout to all other accommodation for Sepilok. Not really a walkable location at night from the roundabout bus stop off although there was a taxi waiting nearby. Very friendly, helpful staff, thanks for your hospitality.

Everyone at the hostel was amazing, really helpful with organizing other parts of our trip and very friendly which leant to the excellent atmosphere of the place. We stayed in one of the 2 dorms, which are huge, and there were only 3 other people staying in ours and 5 girls in the other dorm. The showers and bathrooms were located directly downstairs between the 2 dorms which was very convenient. The overal atmosphere was amazing and we would fully recommend them to anyone.

Great stay - the chalets are lovely with mosquito nets over the bed and sliding wooden doors that look out onto the forest. The outdoor bathroom is a nice novelty!! Food wasn't great but not bad either and was decent value. Helpful, friendly staff and lovely areas to relax in.

Over all a great place to stay if you want a super clean bed in the jungle with nothing but people and the wilderness around you. The staff is very kind and helpful, although you should know this hostel does not have a phone (the number listed has been disconnected) and the staff stops working at 10 PM. So if you think you will arrive after 10 PM forget going their that night as no one will be there to check you in and you can't call ahead. I had 1 urgent phone call & the staff lent me a phone.

This is a great place to stay, if you are looking for something a little out of the ordinary. Things are a little basic but all in all, I think you get great value for money here. I would recommend the chalets down to the pond. The only thing, I wasn't too thrilled with was the food. Its definitely edible but that's it.

Wow, one of the coolest and most beautiful places I've stayed via hostelworld. The pictures don't do it justice. Rooms were better than expected. The view of the little jungle valley was amazing, great place to tan/read/relax while watching wildlife. Food was average, but dining area is also great. Would definitely stay here again. Oh, and note to staff: Please get more board games. Jenga is fun, but more options would be great.

Great hostel! I really like the look and feel of this place, it really made me feel like i was in Asia and not just another hostel. The beds were comfy and the staff were really friendly and helpful (and they always remembered my name). The hostel is situated in a rainforest so you sometimes stumble upon wildlife if your lucky! my only criticism was that i got back too late one night and they had closed the gate and I had no way of contacting anyone (had to hop fence)

The hostel was splendid and I'll highly recommend for those who love nature to stay here. The staffs were extremely friendly and food was tasty! Only RM30 with breakfast included! What can you ask more?!
