We are so glad we staying in Panda house. The staff were friendly and helpful, big and clean rooms. we did a few trips leaving our packs i the luggage store, this was great for us and secure, we felt completely happy leaving everything there. We felt very welcome here, the staff all remebered us when we came back from our first couple of nights away and even remebered what trip we had done. The only critism we have is that the wifi could have been a little stronger in some of the rooms.

Pretty average hostel, not many facilities but clean and good sized rooms. We had ants in the bathroom but this was quickly sorted when we informed reception. The best thing about this hostel were the staff as they were really helpful and friendly in particular the lady in reception, even our taxi driver booked through the hotel was the friendliest we had!

Came here for 2 days and stayed a week. Not centrally located but not far from main attractions. Restful and quiet; the way we like it.

I do not know why the last reviewer complained about the place so much and that almost put me off. The place is very good and the food is very good and cheap and the staff are very helpful. It cannot be in such a bad neighborhood as the USA consulate is just down the street. Have lock boxes for $. Room security is good. Cable TV etc. Get useful info from staff etc. Rooms are large and clean. Not noisey at night. Would go again. Booked for 3 nights and stayed 5.

The good thing about Panda house was, that it was clean. But the staff become very unfriendly when we did not booked trekking tour there becouse the price was much higher then we actually paid for, at another agency. So we left Panda house and stayed two more days in another hostel in Chiangmai.

I did not like my stay here. Mostly it was just something about the feel of the place. The hostel and the area around it felt very seedy. The room was pretty clean and the staff was VERY nice and helpful, but I would not stay here again. Let me restate to be fair: the room was clean, the price wasn;t bad and the location was okay. If you are just looking for a place to drop your stuff and crash at the end of the night, this place passes. I however, would not stay here again.

This hotel was excellent for me. I used it as a hub whilst i toured on a motor bike around northern thailand. I stayed here several times leaving various parts of my back pack and kit at the hotel whilst gone. Staff were amazingly helpful and friendly. A little far from the new town (15-20 walk). However, right on top of the much better old town (2 - 5 walk).

We booked into Panda House for three days and ended up staying six. The staff were super helpful - giving advice on transfers and logistics for onward travel - and were always there to greet us with a warm smile. There's always kids hanging around doing their homework (which we liked) and the food cooked in-house is amazing - some of the best Thai food we ate. This is a fantastic hotel. Walking distance to just about everything. Would definitely stay here again!
