The hostel is nice but there are few things that do not need too much effort but would do a lot to the experience travellers will have: soap in the bath/toilets, towels in the toilets/baths, better equipped kitchen (cutlery, cups, plates.... You could barely find enough for two people and everything is old, broken, dirty...), hairdryer to use, and a bit more modern bathrooms.
Nice hostel. Location is perfect. Nonetheless, facilities are pretty neglected, specially bathrooms and kitchen (kitchen equippment included). Because of its material degradation, kitchen appears dirty and untidy.

We had the room with the double windows that looked out over the square - a fantastic view! The hostel is lovely, high ceilings and floorboards. The staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The only problem was the bed, which was old and quite uncomfortable.
Stylish and clean place to stay. Comfy bed and great view of the square!
Probably the best hostel in the town for the position ( the quiet main square), the friendly atmosphere, the good staff and the services who offers. Of the 2 big dorms, the 8 bed dorm is ensuite but has very small lockers and the 6 bed dorm hasn't a bathroom but offers large lockers.
We had the two rooms at the front with a view over the square. Couldn't be any better. Hostel had a good kitchen and chill areas as well. Staff was super helpful and friendly! Your should definitely buy the 3000 COP Colombia Fácil guide they sell.
Good location, nice staff, bright chill-out areas..and that's basically all that's good about it. Run-down bathrooms, weak shower pressure, very small lockers (can't even fit a 13" laptop) and uncomfortable mattress. It's good for a night or two max..but you probably won't want to stay in Popayán longer than that anyway.
Fantastic location and really cute space! The bathrooms were pretty outdated and rustic, but that is to be expected in an old building.
Stayed at a couple hostels in popayan and this one was the best. The location could not get any better. Had a room facing the square which was awesome.
We stayed in the private double corner room and it was amaaazing. So beautiful. Didn't spend much time im the hostel itself but it was very cute!
Superbly located and very friendly staff. Relaxed atmosphere.

i turned up late on a soaking wet night after a bus from quito, staff were waiting for me and very useful. it has a good kitchen, wifi, seperate smoking lounge for staying up late and is clean in an excellent location in the middle of popayan overlooked by a huge church. i didnt stay long but can definitely recommend parklife hostel.
