The most beautiful environment, with plenty of plants and flowers. It is really beautiful. It is possible to see how delicate is the owner, who is around taking car of her flowers and plants. Food is very good, and the restaurant it is very helpful in a place where typical food is not always appreciated by tourists

A very nice crowded, western style hostel in the heart of Beijing. Flowers everywhere! Lots of people in the bar, you can enjoy them view from the balcony and relax. Friendly and helpful staff, offering some tours. But you should take the bus to go the Forbidden city. The walk is quite long. Clean, good food. Quite expensive compared to others.

The hostel was beautifully maintained and decorated - I especially loved the communal areas downstairs with all the flowers, and staff were very friendly and kind. Food was excellent and there was a 20% discount for guests of the hostel. Reception can also sort out a wide range of activities, including a fantastic Great Wall tour. My only criticism was that there is only one very small shared bathroom for the dorms, so there were often queues.

Sorry for the inconvence, because our hostel is quite small, we only have 20 beds in the mix-dorm. And the building is very old, we can't do too much to the building. But we keep the hotwater 24 hours. We hope you like here.

Very cool hostel in a great location. Staff are super helpful and have great english. I would definitely recommend staying here. Only downside are lack of showers, toilets, and sinks.

Beijing was extremely cold the week that was there and the patrons of the hostel weren't the usual 18-21 age backpacker types like in many other hostels I had been in around the world so it was hard to meet people. However the staff were great and they were very accommodating of my needs and wants. Couldn't have asked for better hosts. No matter what I asked they were extremely friendly and accommodating. The location is great, in nanluoguxiang. Overall couldnt have asked for a better place

Keep this standard . I like almost everything about this hotel. But there a few issues which could be better improve Such as food in the restuarant a bit pricy but not so tasty ,not special menu at all Or in front of guest room on 1st floor had been arrange for restuarant guest, so a bit noisy and mess for hotel guest

Nice place overall and close to a metro. Staff were helpful and friendly. Nice cafe attached but the street had lots of places to eat.

The location is perfect, in a hutong and alive area, 5 minutes far from the magic Hou Hai. After a long distance travel to get there, it is very important to be welcomed by the professional and kind receptionists, having a nice shower in the clean and comfortable shower, relaxing an hour in the warm decoration of the hall or the bar., before exploring Beijing walking. All the best spots at a walking distance. All was perfect as it was last year. including, last but not least, good sleeping,

Very clean and well organised hostel. Great location in a bustling revamped hutong with lots of drinking and dining options.

There were five of us, and we all loved the hostel. The location was delightful, in the middle of picturesque little alleyways lined with stalls offering every type of handcraft or finger-food (from roasted skewered cockroaches to Japanese prawn balls). The hostel itself has an excellent café serving good breakfasts, and snacks and drinks throughout the day. We particularly liked all the flowers in the hostel - the lobby and passages were all full of sweet-smelling flowers and plants.

Great central location , three things i would mention , bathroom upstairs , smelt worse than anywhere I've been even everest base camp . This place has only one sink for all dorm rooms , and the noise the Chinese guests make is out of this world , not ideal light sleepers , very cheap at £10 for five bed mixed dorm though . The old location for the yha before in bejjing years back was in a different class to this place .

Great time here. Traveled with my mum and sister. Staff were great, very helpful and always friendly. The attached cafe is a handy addition, always busy in the evenings. Location within the hutong is great, and a subway station is a 2min walk away. The Peking duck restaurant recommended by the hostel is Da Dong, expect to pay 268RMB for the duck + 30RMB per person for the condiments - on the flipside it was delicious and worth it. The private rooms have swipe card access.

If you don't mind the price then I would highly recommend this hostel. Besides the cleanliness, atmosphere and helpful staff, this hostel is also on a lively (but not noisy) little street that has a few bars/cafes/restaurants and street vendors come out at night. I stayed in a twin room with a friend. Bathroom was excellent. Beds were excellent. Reverse cycle air conditioner in the room. Lockable cabinets (if you bring a padlock). Room is cleaned daily and bottled water provided daily.

Highly recommandable place, on a very nice Hutong with full of animation by night ! Just a short walk away for the Beihei lake and a lot of other places to eat and go out... Not close to the most convenient metro line but definitely great location. Lavatories are not that great...but higher level for Asia...

Absolutely top hostel!

At times you may think you are in a garden centre or botanical garden rather than a hostel such is the obsession with putting flowers and plants in every available place. The flora and fauna provide the basis for this hostel's relaxed feel. Everything is well organised and of high quality though this is reflected in the price of the accomodation (fairly priced) and the attached restaurant (over priced even with the 20% discount for guests). A hostel pitched at the upper end of the market.

Love the comfortable rooms and good accessibility to the main attractions, airport and train stations. However, the common bathrooms could be improved on- they were musky, tiny and cold. Also, although there were common sitting areas for guests, we were expected to give up the space to customers who were dining at the hostel's cafe.
