Lovely hostel - stayed in private room so not sure what dorm like. Staff lovely, wi-fi great, lovely cafe/restaurant - ate there a couple of times as it was so good! great location on lovely hutong. Booked trip to great wall of china through reception - no issues at all. More like boutique hotel than hostel. Downtown backpers just down road seemed nice too!

This hostel does not include a common area apart from the restaurant/cafe/flower garden. This would be the greatest short coming of the place (and the lack of a kitchen is the second!) so meeting other travellers doesn't happen organically as it would in other hostels.Apart from their instance that a coffee sell for $5 the location is smack bang in the middle of a great area on the fun end of Na'n Shu Lui Xaing way.

I loved this hostel, I loved the atmosphere , I loved where it was located in the Hutong, i loved the food in the cafe, i loved all the flowers and most of all i loved the staff, nothing was too much trouble. I stayed for 8 nights and I had to leave at 6 O'Clock in the morning without breakfast, when I went to my room on the last night they had left fruit for me. I enjoyed my last large apple in Japan!! Thank you all

Really I had a excellent time over my stay at the hostel for two days. Nice ambience with maintained cleanliness, very safe and good facilities. One thing i feel less is the lighting inside the rooms, it is not bright enough unless we switch on our bed reading lights.

An oasis of tranquility after the hustle and bustle of Beijing - quirky, comfortable and cosy, with wonderful staff and excellent adjoining cafe. And what's more, the owner has very green fingers - flowers and plants welcome you wherever you go !, I can't recommend it enough !

The hostel is nicely decorated with fresh flowers which create a relaxing home feeling to the atmosphere. I enjoyed so much of my 7-night stay in Peking International Youth Hostel. It is almost everything you may expect from a good hostel. It is clean, of good location, with lockers for free, stable wifi connection, hot shower, friendly and helpful staff, comfortable environment, meeting lovely people from around the world. However, it is better equipped with a self help hot waterpot.

there are definitely cheaper hostels, but none of them smell as good or have beds half as comfortable. if you're not big on no-frills sleep arrangements, this is a great place to go

I stayed at Peking International Hostel for 3 days in early March, 2013. The location is excellent (2 blocks from subway) and within walking distance of the Forbidden City and other Beijing sites. The front desk was helpful with information and Dean helped me get a ticket on the high speed train to Guangzhou. Facilities and value are about average compared to other hostels I've seen around the world. But location and helpfulness of staff were great for this American's 1st visit to China.

just good, very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. The cafe house was realy realy beautiful. It's one of the cleanest and most quiet hostel I've lived. But the light should be more bright,I think. Especially at night,It's not good to reading in the Room,I had to go to the living room. I'll still choose this hostel next time I go to BJ!!!

The hostel is really beautiful. You definitely feel like you are in a classy hotel. The area surrounding it is a bit touristy but filled with lots of good restaurants. I was there for Chinese New Year and they had a special dinner-- a bit overpriced but a nice way to get everyone together (especially because it was the first night I was there). The price could be a bit lower for dorm rooms, but overall, really enjoyed my time there.

Pro's = central location, affordable fees, very clean but good attitude to those that weren't, nice art & flowers, good dorm beds + reading light, helpful noticeboard inc tours, English spoken, airport pickup inc late at night for 200 Y, easy & quick book-in & confirm on good website, meals, rooftop, locker + key. Con's = small showers, no free brecky for dormers, meals a little pricey, beer far too expensive - small can cost 28 Y!, cheaper backpackers nearby, 8/10

Thank you so much for your kindly comments and suggestions. With regarding to the price in the Peking Café, as you know, it's open to the public as well as hostel guests. But all the guests that stay in our hostel can get 20% OFF with their room key.

The staff were very good and helpful if you were touring and wanted derection. If u r going to Beijing try the PKIH

We only use illy coffee bean, and the Barista in Peking café was won the first place in Beijing 2013 World Barista Championship. That's why we have one of the best espresso, cappuccino in Beijing. You get what you pay for.

Holy smokes, this hostel is phenomenal! It is basically a boutique hotel with dorm rooms. In fact, if you were to stay in a private room with an ensuite bathroom, this place would rival a boutique hotel. It is crystal clean, the facilities are good and the showers rock. Staff are nice and the decor is unbelievable. Fresh flowers everyday, EVERYWHERE. Onsite cafe is ridiculously expensive, but there is great food less than 10m away. Great location!!! A little bit more expensive, but worth it!
