About

The fabulous Peking International Youth Hostel is your home away from home in Beijing. We’re located just a two-minute walk from the subway station.

You’ll find yourself in the heart of Beijing’s colorful Hutong district, a few blocks north of the Forbidden City and just east of Houhai and Qianhai Lakes. We’re nestled in a quaint, charming lane on Nan Luo Gu Xiang in downtown Beijing.

We offer a wide range of rooms, including budget dormitories, affordable double rooms, and luxurious accommodations. The dorms are spacious, and great care has been taken to furnish our rooms to a high standard, with top-quality bunk beds and excellent bathrooms with showers.

You can dine in our lobby or enjoy a cocktail in our bar. Why not join us for afternoon tea in our Terrace Lounge, overlooking the Botanic Gardens?

This is the perfect spot for a short break in Beijing, close to everything hot and happening. Catch a spectacular show or a profound Peking Opera performance, or explore galleries, museums, and the Forbidden City. Ask our concierge for ideas or an itinerary tailored just for you. Go out and have fun, then come back home to five-star comfort.

We are a 25-minute walk from the Forbidden City and a 12-minute walk from Beihai Park.

We also offer a daily 3.5-hour hiking trip from Jinshanling to Simatai Great Wall. We can arrange airport pickup and drop-off as well.

Additionally, we have a sister hostel—Peking Yard Hostel—just 10 minutes away by taxi. It is a 200-year-old courtyard-style house and one of the most beautiful hostels you will find; it’s also listed on Hostelworld.com.

It's located in the middle of a somewhat touristy but lively street, and the metro station is close and therefore well connected. They had luggage storage, lockers in the room, western toilets and good wifi. Compared to other hostels in China, the beds were very comfortable! There is also a small common area, the hostel was not very social though. What stood out was how friendly and helpful the staff was. All in all a good place!

Hostelworld says

Hostelworld guests rated Peking International Hostel the most popular in Beijing at the 2011 Hoscars and it's no wonder - this clean, modern and charming hostel has boutique-style common areas and a rooftop restaurant as well as vases of fresh flowers throughout which provide "a welcome respite from the dusty Beijing streets", as one traveller said. Our visitors tell us this is "more than just a hostel, [it's like] a little quaint boutique hotel. The perfect place to rest after a day in the crowded city centre".
