Not all the staff works at reception speaks English. Also 7% more money is taken as a tax which was not mentioned at hostelworld.com

location is a plus, short walking distance to the La ramblas street, the staff was very kind and helpful. The toilet was clean, new towels everyday. The air conditioner was quite dusty, it is better to clean it... there is no common room in the hostel, which is not good for socialization, no kitchen for the private studio, so we have to eat outside everyday. NOTE, we have to pay 10% tax separately, this should be stated in the hostel information. Overall, a good hostel for short stay....

Had an enjoyable stay, friendly helpful staff. Flat was clean, appreciated clean towels every day. Would recommend the guest house as a place to stay in Barcelona.

We had a great stay there as a couple... good bed and shower, clean and quiet. Also, the staff is nice and helpful. But the best thing for us was to have kitchen in our room, so we could eat cheaper at home. Having wifi in our room was great as well.

We liked the location and the price was great but the placewas herd to find as its not got a sign, only big brown doors with name of the place on a buzzer intercom. The women that checked us in didnt have a word of english so when i tried to see could we upgrade the rom to one with a kitchen she didnt understand me so we gave up trying. The room had an awful smell coming from the drains in the bathroom for the whole stay and the window didnt close properly which didnt feel safe.

Struttura centralissima...a due minuti da la rambla. Un pò spartana ma per un paio di notti va più che bene!!!

The only plus of this hostel - excellent location just 5 minutes walk from Plaza Catalunya. Look for the receptionist on the first floor at the exit from the elevator from the left. The staff does not speak English, it is difficult to explain them what you want. I would recommend to take a studio, not a double room. The studio is much larger, there is a kitchenette and fridge. The bathroom was quite dirty, full of hair. Pay attention that your price at Hostelworld.com does not include 8% VAT.

The room light was suddenly gone off, however there was no one in the reception then we had to stay without any lights but TV at night. There's no lounge room or kitchen that we can socialize in, so not recommended for those who are looking for it. The location is excellent, it's very central.

The hostel is easy to find as long as you follow the directions given and it's location makes every point of interest from Barcelona easy to reach by foot or metro. The lady from the reception was friendly and helpful and our room was cleaned every day. Even the towels were changed frequently during our 1 week stay. The room was small and with just basic furniture and we had a small window looking to the inside court....no views but also no noise from the street. Great deal for the money we paid

Be careful! Chinese manager does not take into account the 10% deposit on Hostelworld. Therefore, the actual price of room will be greater than 10%. At day time risepshen no, no one spoke English. We wanted to cancel at the end two days of stay, and warned the manager about it for 5 days. She took over the abolition of the price for one night. Noisy air conditioner works like an airplane. Keys to the entrance from the street the size of a pack of cigarettes. Bad hotel! But location is excelent

When arriving to the hostel PELAYO STUDIOS, being completely excausted from a long journey and the heat, the person at the reception told us that they haven't received any notification about our booking from hostelworld. The personal constently blamed hostelworld as if hostelworld has not notified them about anything about our reservation. Finally the personal did not supply us our booked room and kicked us out! So, PELAYO was terrible and hostelworld should consider this seriously!!!!
