This was my first hostel experience so I don't have a lot to go off of, but I would highly recommend Planet Traveler to Toronto visitors and will definitely stay there again if I find myself needing a hostel in Toronto. Great kitchen and washroom facilities, beautiful rooftop terrace with amazing Toronto view, full of young travelers and even some people staying long term and friendly staff from around the world. I felt very safe and comfortable. And did I mention the fantastic location?

Wifi in the rooms would have been great. My room had an odd layout and by the time I got there, the other 3 had made such a mess of the place that I had no choice other than to store all my stuff on my bed with me. It's not such an issue as I pack extremely light, and they packed a ridiculous amount of clothes, but the room didn't really have much storage space due to the odd layout. Room #33 4 bed mixed dorm

Next to the mega hipster kensington market, nice people, modern design, *free breakfast*, the showers and toilets are inside the room instead of a single communal one :):) Comfortable place to sleep :)

Rad!! Theres an amazing view of the city from their roof, and a bar where you can make your own drinks on the top floor. I guess during the summer months they have like barbeques and beer parties up there on weekends. The bed was super clean, comfortable and the duvet was really warm! They have a kitchen with a fridge and everything so you can buy produce and make something! Amazing location right next to trolley, chinatown, kensington and cheap parking!! no way will you regret this hostel!

Nothing wrong here; everything is new & clean & convenient, staff are very good. Everything nearly perfect & I slept well. Kinda modern, university-esque atmosphere? Personally though, I guess I prefer smaller, indie, unique places, warmer atmosphere; this is more hotel-ish. My only warnings: a) ensuite baths mean that roomates will leave all their stuff in the bathroom, instead of keeping it clean like with seperate hostel-style showers b) worst coffee of my life. Otherwise, a safe bet.

The only down side to this hostel is that the common area closes Midnight to 7 AM, often interrupting a good chat or a good time.

Enjoyed my stay for 2-nights. Bedrooms are very small & narrow, there isn't even space for peoples bag(s)! Ended up keeping my suitcase upright in little corridor between the bedroom & bathroom. I was on a top bunk and kept alot of stuff on the bed with me soo I think it would be really good to put a shelf or cube beside each bed (on the wall) for guests to keep a few belongings you need during the night. I believe there would be space for this on the wall by both top and bottom beds

Great place, great people. Rooftop party every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday? First night in, everyone ended up getting quite smashed and went to a club. Cannot ask for a better welcoming :).

Everything is clean and new. The room was cleaned every day. The dorm rooms are very small, so almost every square inch is bed or luggage. No reading lights in the bunks. The lockers all have sockets in them, which is nifty.
