So... I don't know how best to say this, but they had bedbugs. They were nice about it and offered to let us switch from the dorm to a private room at no cost, but they seemed pretty at a loss at what to do about the bedbugs. I think Americans are prone to get hysterical about bedbugs and I appreciated the relative calm of the other guests, but I was freaking out a bit.

Have a bug because Guangzhou lasted (for) a month of rain.We have already put the bug off.

First time in a hostel, so not much to base it on, liked it well enough. the staff were very nice as well as the guest. they all helped me figure out my train. the area was far away from the action, but the metro was really close for easy access from the train station. good experience overall!

Lovely girls run the hostel. good beds and overall clean. not really a hostel atmosphere... feels more like you're paying to stay at someone's house. Also not too close to any night life. Would recommend to someone who is content with a relaxed environment and chilling out a lot.

Plum Flowers House is a flat in an apartment bloc, so you might have to call the owner to get someone open the door. It's only one small dorm, so there's not many chances to socialize with other travellers, if you're looking for that kind of thing. The owner is nice and the facilities are decent, but it could be a bit cheaper, because in general hostels in China are very cheap and very high quality. Overall, it's an ok place to sleep, but that's about it...

We stayed in a private room as a stopover between Hong Kong and China. It was really quiet and peaceful. there was no one around when we got there but that wasn't an issue. We didn't actually go into Guangzhou centre so I can't comment on how far away it was but it was a 5 minute walk from the metro station and the directions provided were really easy to follow. There were also cheap Chinese food places near the metro entrance. I would recommend.

A very different hosteling experience! It's very cool to be staying in the apartment of local people. Very nice staff, especially Linda, and great access to the metro. Would definitely stay again!

this hostel is a rental apartment where the current owner just started their business among groups of friend. they are very friendly. they answer what you asked but not super informative for tourist. they might be too new for this business. but overall the place is comfortable and not bad at all. it would be nice if they can make everything cleaner and more more often.

Considering this was a loft turned hostel, it definitely had a different sort of vibe. The area it was in was residential and felt quite safe, but the hostel community wasn't very vibrant.

Everyone was very kind and informative. Very clean and hospitalable. Would recommend to anyone. If I travel back to Guangzhou, I would definately stay at this place.

Close to mtr and easy to find. No lockers but place is secure. Beds are a little wobbly and shower holder needs to be fixed in the bathroom but overall the place is fine. It's a small place in a residential block so if you're looking to party probably not top choice but if you want to relax then spend a few days here. Staff can give you info on where to go in the city. Also close to train station (2 stops on mtr) to get to HK.

The hostel was clean and in a good location (close to metro, eateries, shops). Plum is a very good hostel owner and host making sure all the people staying are at ease and are enjoying their time at the hostel. Admittedly this is not a party hostel but if you're looking to party you can party out in town and rest your head quietly back at the hostel. Would recommend and thanks for the stay Plum! :)

For Muslim tourist, there is a Halal restaurant near the hostel. From the hostel, walk to the Meihuayuan station entrance B. Then cross the road on your right side. Walk straight for about 3 minutes. The restaurant is just after the stairs. On the right side.

Great location - easy to find with the map sent by Plum. Very friendly place to stay. The city was misty during our stay in March so the place was damp - not a fault of the accommodation. The room was cosy and the bed was warm and comfortable. Plenty of restaurants nearby.

Plum's place is definitely a great choice if you are looking for both cleanliness and good location in Guangzhou. The place is more like a home thus staying in it is very relaxing and comfortable. People I met here at Plum's place are also cool too! Nice place to recommend friends to stay in!
