Very good hostel. Staff were very helpful. The boss told me the right way to buy cheaper ticket to Mexico City. The kitchen was very nice. Everybody cooked, good atmosphere. Private room seems a little cold, but you can ask for more blankets. Dorm room was ok. Guests there mostely looked like long term. So a little bit hard to meet other travelers.

100MXN a night for a dormitory? I'll take it! Great value, friendly staff, and only a few blocks away from the main zocalo, rastaurants, churches, and pedestrian streets. Highly recommended!

The owners are nice and helpful if you can identify or find them. The place is full of live-in pretentious hippies who for the most part scour and judge. The atmosphere is therefore cliquey and unwelcoming. The rooms are freezing and have wholes in the roof. The kitchen is filthy. The bathrooms are okay and bleached daily. Stay somewhere else

Very nice place to stay for a small budget trip. A bit roots. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms. Not well isolated so might be noisy and also cold at night. But we received so many blankets that it was ok! We had double room with shower and toilet for the price of a dorm in other hostel. Bathroom in our room was clean. Common bathrooms -it depends. One of the best deals for us in Mexico.

This hostel was massively overrated. Their percentage score was really high, but our double bedroom was tiny, stank of cigarette smoke, there was blood (albeit old, probably washed) on the sheets, and the furniture was falling apart. I had been ill and was still recovering, so wanted to go to sleep at about 10, but all rooms are around a courtyard where everyone sits and drinks so it was very loud till they all moved at 12pm. The shower rooms were very poor also. Worst hostel we've stayed at.

There are better values in town for doubles and twins, but you cannot do better than this for a dorm bed. The place is clean (Kitchen cleanliness depends on the people staying there. It was clean while I was there.), comfortable, and the guests while I was there were considerate so sleeping was no problem.

Came for a few days, stayed for a week and a half... I felt a part of the family. Thanks Fernan and Neive and long term stayers Siggi, Jenny, Roger for making my stay a great experience to remember.

This is a great cheap hostel that comes with cheap hostel amenities. The rooms are clean, and the hot water is great. There is in fact wifi in the rooms, and it's a pretty close wall to the centro. The kitchen here is pretty gross if you like to cook when traveling. There seem to be a number of travelers that more or less live at the posada, so it's heavily used--like dishes always stacked up in a flooded sink filled with old food dirty.

Loved the hostel for its staff and location and the atmosphere.

Nice place if you need a place to stay several days and to relax. If you are travelling around the world, this is the place to meet people. Staff cannot speak englisch

My girlfriend an I got a strange breathing problem, like allergy or something. Nothing alarming, but uncomfortable. There was a little bit of moisture on the room wall, maybe that caused it. This hostel is a basic, calm, well located hostel. There is a relaxing room with a dvd player and tv, but you hear the whole lobby and kitchen when in that room... It's a good place to go and sleep, but don't expect to party or stay longer than you planned in your room. It's basic. Worths the price.

Hi , thank you for your comments, we will take them on board. We were not aware how much noisier these two rooms in the front are and try to put guests in the back rooms if possible. Hope you return to visit us soon. Posada Leon de Jovel.
